I know of someone on that carrier. I’m waiting for confirmation but I know that they were told they will have an extended deployment. She was apparently a little frightened by what they were told by the Admiral and wasn’t worried about the deployment until then.
Apparently OPSEC on that carrier is not great?
Note: I had to calm down her panicked mother who got a text that let her know that her (mother’s) worst fears were being realized - that they would get sent to Israel area. I sent screenshots of all the precipice Q posts and told her that I was expecting something like this and it will look bad, but to have faith.
It's all fun and games until you get punched in the face. Keep us posted. We don't have systems to protect carriers from hypersonic missiles. Shit's about to get interestiing.
Better check your facts, fren. S3 is for ICBM at high altitude and ASAT and LEO sats. S6 is multi role but not designed for hypersonic. Phalanx or laser probably best bet.
You don't think carrier groups are threatened by ballistic missiles? Need to get up to speed with what the Chinese have developed and why the SM3 was developed. The satellite shot was only a demonstration, but it's good to have the capability.
The SM6 is capable of negating high-altitude and terminal ballistic missiles. The latter are close to hypersonic vehicles. The block IB version in development since 2018 will be specifically capable against current hypersonic missiles.
I checked my facts. You are still wrong. There is something else you are forgetting. Currently demonstrated hypersonic missiles are good against fixed targets only. They would need more development to be able to engage a moving target. A Mach 10 shockwave is a terrible thing for a sensor to try to look through.
Wrong. There are 44 interceptors in the Ground-Based Missile Defense (GMD) system, portioned between Alaska and California (vs. polar and oceanic threats).
The 44 missiles (and there are only 44) in the GMD have a very bad effectiveness rating of around 40%. North Korea and Russia combined have over 2,000 warheads ready for launch from silos or untraceable submarines at any time. The GMD is barely any protection at all against a real attack.
Our enemies could annihilate the U.S. in about 45 minutes if they decided to. The only deterrent is the fact that we are ready to do the same.
So, you were wrong on your original claim and now you are pettifogging over what constitutes an "adequate" defense. In the last 14 test flights from 2008 onward, only the last one was not a success, and they are working a corrective design to deal with that. The official estimate of single-shot kill is 56%, but a 4-on-1 engagement would be 97%. Our situation could be far better than this, but the SDI program (which I worked on) was denigrated and only grudgingly supported by Congress. No real popular support, so the paltry system we have is not a surprise.
Nuclear war strategy has long been against enemy military capability. Mutual Assured Destruction no longer is based on mutual genocide. North Korea's capability is next to zero. They have not demonstrated the ability to fuze a weapon at altitude, nor develop the required accuracy on target at operational range. They are exceedingly vulnerable to deterrence. Russia has no interest in attacking with ICBMs, unless attacked in kind. If tactical nuclear weapons are used in theater, that will be a signal to back off and not escalate any farther. Only a complete idiot would double down on nuclear combat. (But, hey, we have Joe Biden and his puppeteers...)
Are you actually arguing that 44 defensive missiles (each with, at best, a dubious 56% success rate) serves are any sort of defense against enemies with thousands of such weapons? I didn’t invent math, don’t take it out on me.
My points stands - we don’t have any real defense if our enemies wanted to annihilate us.
Well, your claim was that we had no defense. You were simply wrong. And then I observed that you were pettifogging over how good it was, which is substantially a subjective view. I said quite plainly that it was paltry, so we could have parted in agreement. But if it could have intercepted a warhead targeting your city, would you be the first to curse its existence?
Your mission requirement ("if our enemies wanted to annihilate us") is total fantasy. The critics of ANY strategic defense usually come up with a threat that nothing could defeat, so you are simply carping because your ignorance was exposed. First, there is no way that total annihilation is possible even with the existing inventories. I've read the analysis by the experts. Secondly, those with the largest and most capable inventories are not interested in our annihilation. They are substantially deterred by our counterstrike capability. I don't personally think that is good enough, but what you want is a magic defense that doesn't cost any time or money to develop or implement, and which ensures we don't even get bruised. I worked on a system concept under SDI that had a good prospect of negating 90% of a full-scale attack for a price tag that would seem cheap by today's budgets. We even developed and static tested a prototype interceptor. No takers. (We didn't then have the cheap transport to orbit that we have now, and now we have demonstrated operation and control of much larger constellations.)
Fear is normal under these circumstances. While i understand both of their positions, she knew what she was signing up for when she raised her hand and swore an oath. An oath which will bind her and all who took it past, present and future and will only be relieved of when she releases her last breath: To uphold, and defend The Constitution for the United States of America, against all enemies both foreign and domestic and will bear true faith and allegiance to the same..." These are binding words given in a time honored ceremony.
Mom can be scared, she has a certain right to be so, but she needs to refocus the fear and turn it into pride. Proud that her little girl volunteered on her own accord and has a job, a mission and a purpose to go into harms way when called upon like those before her and those who she will pass the torch too when she leaves active duty.
Yes, carriers are big, bad and scary under normal circumstances, but they met pre deployment milestones and requirements of the crews before they were deemed fit and ready for deployment. They are now in that category of being on the front line as 100,000 tons of Diplomacy. If everyone does their job, they will return. God speed to them.
R,
U.S. NAVY (Retired)
Ya, but she didn't sign up to protect the Juice against all enemies....kinda thebole bait and switch isnt it? They duped me 23 years ago too, i get it.
I agree that the daughter signed up, took the Oath and now must fulfill her duty. However, every war our military has engaged in since the War for Independence has been to puff up the coffers of the military industrial complex and the banking cartel that owns the FED! NONE of them were fought to defend the homeland. So, I cannot support or be proud of a military that's there to just bully the world for the sake of the Rothschild banker boys!
I do feel for those, like this young lady, who are being put in harms way simply for money and politics. I am sure she just wanted to do her patriotic duty. I wish she would have learned the truth behind why we conduct war because had she known the truth, she may have reconsidered her involvement.
I also wanted to highlight just how pathetic it is that our brave men and women in uniform are required to obey their oath, but our politicians break theirs almost to a person and yet they are not held accountable at all. The double standard is amazing and despicable.
Finally I want to say that the first thing I thought when I read this post was, "great, now we are sending in an aircraft carrier to kill more Palestinian Christians in Gaza." To think that Biden would send a carrier to that part of the world to do good, support freedom, and protect the innocent is ludicrous! He's a dementia riddled, child sniffing, criminal in every sense of the word. He, like most of our satanic politicians, do what they do at the behest of the Zionists. Hence, that carrier is not going to fight Hezbollah, Hamas or Isis as these were all funded and trained by the CIA and the Mossad in order to maintain the enemy so as to maintain the reason for war. No, I believe we are just going to see more innocent Palestinians murdered.
I concur with your assessments. In time, that Oath will be honored at all levels of governmental service. It was slowly eradicated for those who thought they were more important [elitism]. Look at the mess we are in today because of it.
Our greatest enemy is the Federal Reserve and the World Central Banks and the legal minions (Mosad, MI6, Clowns-In-America, etc.) who work as their enforcers. Eradicate them and the need for a "police force" ( Industrial- military complex) will be tremendously reduced in influence. And the real problem over the Central banking system is the Khazarian Mafia who are behind the curtain pulling the levers. With the banks gone, so goes their power grip as they are exposed. This isn't an easy war, but we will win it.
War is hell. Needless loss of life for what purpose? Throughout history Right up to the present , war and chaos was to keep the Khazarians in power and control. This is ending. They know it. The writing is on the wall...and they are panicking.
That’s such a tired clause. While the USA clearly has foreign adversaries across an asymmetric spectrum, it increasingly appears to be domestic enemies who have wrought more catastrophe and destruction upon the economy, people and culture of the USA than foreign enemies could dream of, invariably at the behest of, or with the active participation of said foreign enemies.
Better said would be “enemies domestic occultly masquerading as foreign…”
Opsec really comes down to the individual. Loose lips sink ships was drilled into our heads in the Marines more than any big green weenie could ever fathom. Not to insult your friend here, but they’re just not making them like they used to. She shouldn’t even be breathing a word about this to anyone as it directly affects the safety of her crew members. That’s how people end up dying.
Oh I’m totally aware. At least she didn’t disclose any details and spoke in code so that only her mother would have known what she was referring generally to. OPSEC was drummed into us in the USAF also and even as a federal contractor we get annual training on it. Members of my family have been in the military since before Vietnam which is partly how I was pulled into calming the mother down - me being a veteran and knowing what I do about the military. Her daughter is her whole life so she has been panicked about her daughter going into areas where something could happen.
Initially I was horrified at how much is known about this ship. The families of those on TR have a FB group and way too much information gets on there and leaked from there. The crew got in trouble after leaving San Diego for how much they were disclosing to the families but they don’t seem to have learned their lesson. The exact docking time in SK was told by someone who should never have disclosed it.
So yes I agree, from what I see, our military is not getting the caliber of people I saw 30-40 years ago. And they were not nearly at the level of the Greatest Generation.
Neither 😊 As an engineer I got recruited under Reagan to help with acquisition of the new weapons systems that they had planned. My OTS class was the largest ever (‘85) and had a lot of engineers in it.
Knowing what I know now? 😡 But I’m proud to have served, met my husband, got my Master’s in Computer Science and now I write software that helps train the troops.
I am conflicted about still supporting the military industrial complex but will gladly do something else when everything is revealed and if what I do is no longer needed. My husband and I argue about what what military size and budget will be needed. I hope much, much smaller!
Not that the other side doesn’t know our moves, but why on Earth are military allowed to talk about their anticipated deployments and moods about OPSEC and such? Sounds weak af.
Recently? We have heard that the ships returning from the Med are returning to the US with the lowest levels of munitions(? I may not have the exact wording?) except when the ships were in war. Entire crews are being given combat (campaign) ribbons because they were basically seeing so much action. Yet nothing is being reported? We have a good source so I am sure of what was briefed (unclassified) except since I was USAF and not Navy I may not have the language quite right…
My hunch is that the white hat military are cleaning up the terrorists in Yemen and other countries that the CIA/deep state created?
Probably were on the receiving end of Yemeni counterfire as they attacked Yemen for its decision to embargo any boat from docking into occupied Palestine (aka Israel).
The Lusitania, Pearl Harbour and the Gulf of Tonkin - don't they normally go through the pretense of rigging up a false flag before they announce the 'war' stage?
They were originally supposed to be back in San Diego in August. They were very delayed from original deployment schedule - the ship was in bad shape when they got it out of the shipyard. Had to get civilian escort from WA to ÇA because they only had 1/4 engines working.
But with China/Taiwan supposedly heating up, it is definitely very odd.
False flags designed to scare. MSM- Mockingbird is ramping up the war cry. Remember, we haven't reached the precipice yet. Close but not there. So the best advice is to simply stay calm and carry on about your daily lives.
I don't think it is going to the Med. I think it is staying off S Korea to be nearby when China attacks Taiwan just before the election. If I were Xi it would be on Nov 3 or 4, to throw the US election into chaos.
Seems to me that the Roosevelt is heading over early so the Eisenhower wouldn't get extended since she's at the end of her normal Med Cruise. The Navy likes to do that kind of stuff a lot. When I was on NIMITZ during the 97/98 Cruise, we went to the Persian Gulf early and stayed there for most of the Cruise. Just so we could play cat/mouse games with Saddam and his pilots.
Seems to me that people on social media are seeing things with this development that may not be.
everything is "training" now-a-days. that's what they said last week with Russian submarines 60 miles (give or take) off the coast of Russia. Scheduled training. The media seems to be one of the last hold-outs. I mean, the media outlasted the resident.
Lmao it's like all the world's military's are just doing scheduled classes and training sessions all the time..... Chinese army is like hey no guys I can't join up for that class I already have another training session over in the Philippines.

Yep - we are guessing that it involved Yemen as it was that timeframe.
You mean welcome back to the Mediterranean lol
I was in the air wing on TR in 95 and 97 Med cruises. 🫡
Yeah, that's all we ever did, at least in the 80's. Worked down in the belly of the beast, Reactor # 2 😎
The Lusitania, Pearl Harbour and the Gulf of Tonkin - don't they normally go through the pretense of rigging up a false flag before they announce the 'war' stage?
Wasn't there a false report a few weeks ago that a Aircraft Carrier was hit by the Houthis off the coast of Yemen?
Houthis have been active in the region. I think you’re referring to this —

You forgot Cuban Missile Crisis. I and II.
...and the sinking of the battleship 'Maine' in Havana harbor 1898.
And 9/11
And the world wars
The Maine
USS Liberty is more like it.
USS Liberty, this is more of that genocidal apartheid israel instigated false flags.
Yay, let's keep participating in wars we have no business in.
What now? Does someone have WMDs and the capability to use it on us, and we need to go in right now?
"Unconfirmed reports" = "rumors"
I'm not going to get my panties in a twist until I get some actual Intel.
CVN71 literally just arrived in South Korea in the last 24 hours:: https://www.theepochtimes.com/world/us-aircraft-carrier-arrives-in-south-korea-amid-regional-tensions-5673574?utm_source=partner&utm_campaign=gp&src_src=partner&src_cmp=gp
Could it be another carrier? Usually it’s Norfolk carriers that patrol the Med, and TR is a San Diego carrier.
They are heading to the Mediterranean from South Korea.
That’s very odd. Of course, my knowledge is from the mid 90s when TR was a Norfolk carrier, so your mileage may vary 🫡
They were originally supposed to be back in San Diego in August. They were very delayed from original deployment schedule - the ship was in bad shape when they got it out of the shipyard. Had to get civilian escort from WA to ÇA because they only had 1/4 engines working.

Spreading unconfirmed reports is rumor mongering. I would have expected more of Macgregor.
See my comments with info regarding a sailor on the TR. He knows more than he is saying, but says “unconfirmed” to protect any sources.

How do you make peace with a foe that has a religious based on your extermination?
Islam demands either a war, or genocide. Israel just happens to be #1 on the list. We are all next. It’s simple, convert to Islam or die
We didn’t want this; they do. We don’t have a choice in the matter.
