So what's the consensus on pet vaccinations? Specifically Rabies?

Been doing some research for a few family members. Apparently most states (39) require cats and dogs to be vaccinated or you can get fined if someone turns you in.
Beyond that, they, like most of us, don't trust ANY pharma company anymore, even when it comes to their pets.
In my own research, I've found that there's plenty of people saying it's just a scam, that the first puppy shot is more than enough, and at most a single booster is good for a lifetime when it comes to rabies shots for dogs.
So figured I'd ask my favorite autistic experts, what's the consensus on pet vaccines and rabies shots? Do they actually NEED more than the initial puppy shots, or is this another thing that should be ignored?

The messed up part of it is that kennels require them if you ever have to leave your pet for vacation, etc.
If you know your neighbors and feel they are reliable, ask them to pet sit and pay them. Or ask your family, someone from church, I am sure they would welcome the extra money.
Live in or out pet sitters cost the same , your best Fren would rather be home , Don’t lock your dog in a cage, missing you is hard enough, left in a cage while missing you is sad . I say this as my heart is hurt for two different neighbors in about a 6 months time . Both left their dogs , both had heart attacks in the kennel . The kennels were high end but it’s still not home and still in a cage . Albeit the dogs had a bit of anxiety but still . The guilt thst they must feel , I didn’t mention that of course , I just said how sorry I was ,

Dogs with no vaccinations have not gotten cancer. With they get cancer. Same as human jabs, most dog and cat medical issues didn't exist prior to vaccinations.

BUT don't despair you easily duped cash-cow customer; we have developed medications like Apoquel that only costs $2.70 per pill to prevent your pet from losing all their hair and smelling like garbage water if they don't take it.
I had a toy dog who had his first rabies shot as a puppy when he was only 2 lbs. He first had a reaction to the shot by his skin turning purple. Both ears swelled up and it looked later with the scabbing.as if someone had sewn them up. He then permanently lost the hair around the site where it was injected.
3 years later I had him given his rabies shot again but this time he was given Benadryl before it. He still turned purple but his ears didn’t swell up and he may or may not have lost more fur at the spot as I had them give it in the same area.
The following time he was rabies exempt with a certificate. My Bet said she could give him that instead of putting him through more reactions. And from that time forward he was exempt from rabies shots until we moved to another state.
In the new state when I brought him to a Vet I was told there were rabid animals in the area. If I decided not to give my dog a rabies shot he could be referred to an animal control officer should he ever bite any staff (or anyone else for that matter) My dog did have some issues with guarding me and I knew he could possibly nip someone if he thought they were threatening me. So I left that practice and mulled it over.
So without a rabies shot he could have been put down or quarantined depending on the animal control officer.
I decided not to take the chance so I ended up seeking a Holistic Vet to treat my dog. This Vet told me they give the same rabies shot amount to all dogs regardless of size. He said it was an arbitrary amount decided upon by the government. He said many toy dogs have issues with the rabies bc of this.
So he gave my dog a smaller dose of a different brand than the prior shots after giving him the Benadryl prior to the rabies vaccine. My dog still turned purple for about 12 hours but didn’t seem to have any other issues. And then my dog was “officially” Vaccinated for Rabies. He received a tag. Vet even said if my dog was ever bitten by another animal who may have Rabies they would still have to give my dog another rabies shot even if he’d already had one that same year.
Sadly we had to put him down a couple years ago due to advanced heart congestion.
When my cat was older this same vet told me not to give her any more rabies shots. She’d had enough. He said the first one was probably all she ever needed. He also didn't believe in giving cats the three year rabies bc some have problems with these. He recommended the one year rabies got cats
Our cat is nearly 17 years old now. Probably 10 years ago, I stopped taking her for any shots, as she is an indoor cat (and she hates to go to the vet). When other pets come to visit, my cat stays in hiding. This is the longest that any of our pets have lived. It makes me sad to think that I may have contributed to the shorter lives of beloved pets because I had them vaccinated.
If you can get a vet to use adjuvant free vaccine, go for it. Otherwise it's poison.

My father was a Veterinarian in the 70's and 80's when I worked with him and rarely did we ever see cancer in pets. I think it's the food and vaccines.. Just like they are doing to humans.
We lost three kitties within 10 days of having rabies shots. After losing the first two, the vet convinced us that they must have had an underlying conditions that caused their deaths. After the third death, we no longer got any of our "babies" vaxxed. That was over 20 years ago.
Most of our cats live to ripe old ages, currently have a 23 and a 20 year olds, plus 10 others, none vaxxed.

Just say no. Like their lives depend on it because they do. And don't make them live on kibble. It has "acceptable levels" of very bad things in it.

You can ask the vet to do a rabies blood titer to check if rabies antibodies are present.
Our town requires the rabies vax. The vet is in cahoots with the town to report the status. Of course the vet profits handsomely since they sell the jab, and that leads to more ancillary profit while you're in there.

In North Dakota, as in other states, the rabies vaccine is required by law, but it will be the only vaccine my brother (Jscholl9) wants for his dog. He is refusing all other vaccines.

Some people think polio was invented to cover up for arsenic poisonings that happened before it was apparent that arsenic can really fuck you up. They used to spray it on orchards as a pesticide.
