Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Today’s RedPill78 shows phone video from two people attending rally. Time stamp 1:44:22
It looks like there was another shooter from behind the bleachers where the men were shot. Opposite side of where the roof shooter was. You see puffs first, then the men go down. Not the men go down, then the puffs (shots possibly hitting railing).
Rally attenders saying shots came from the back.
I keep getting this weird feeling that this entire business with Vance being the VP pick is not all it seems. Something is just not right. Granted, I hope it works out for the best, but there's just something bugging me about it and I can't quite out my finger on it. Here's an interesting link post in case anyone was wondering: https://x.com/DrC_IET17/status/1812944147743195606
Nothing is ever what it seems. The best thing we can do is to stop reacting emotionally and start thinking as to how this could possibly make sense. Usually it all becomes clear as time progresses.
I feel that the VP will be changed before the election (How? I have no idea, but I just have this feeling)
Always look forward to your well-reasoned responses, bubble. You're spot on. Too many people reacting too emotionally to many events, when the best thing to do is give it time to settle down.
My son is on vacation in Japan. He rides the trains everywhere, and said the tv's on them keep replaying the assassination attempt, and the Japanese people are visibly upset and crying. The news headlines all say Trump will definitely win the election in America.
The memories of Abe's assassination is very raw there, and they look at Trump and Abe as Doshi (comrades)
I dunno... I think if Biden had instead said, "We need to put Trump in the bullseye... in MINECRAFT," then he would have covered his bases. Too bad he doesn't know how to use a computer, much less know what Minecraft is.

We've all seen the deceased's picture. Do any of you know who published it first? I mean the source. I've only seen it here and 4chan. Thanks.

I feel like the mood has shifted after Trump announced JD Vance. I've been seeing posts on how this guy said he preferred Hillary to Trump, comparing him to Hitler. What's going on? I know everything is not as it seemed and I'd like to have faith that all things work out in accordance to God's plan.
Your best follower are the ones who hated you dearly and then did the research and learnt the truth about you, and then became your supporters. JD Vance is one of them. There are many threads discussing many aspects of this, lot of good info on the board right now.
Yeah, he said some pretty terrible things in the past, but then he seems to have come around. Gone from straight up TDS, to MAGA. It does happen, so maybe. It's sus, I know. One of the frogs here posted something encouraging last night. He said that by JD telling his story of going from Trump hater to lover, it might open some eyes. I sure hope so!
As a history nerd, George HW Bush said Reaganomics was BS until he got the VP slot, just as LBJ did with JFK.
Yes. Voodoo economics, I read.
I wonder if Q+ isn't actually on the central team. whatever happened with the assassination attempt was real for him, it's obvious in how he's changed.
I agree, Q+ is who the Q team has to inform and protect, but Trump himself isn't going to be briefed on stuff.
he's definitely partway read in, minimum. he's absolutely key. i'm saying that it would make sense that he was not top tier so he can focus on his job while the mil does mil stuff.
Maybe the fact that he had to go through that changes a person. Like William Tell and the apple. That kind of thing will change anyone.
What's happened to Julian Assange? I have not heard much about him since he went to OZ after being freed. I should assume that every journalists there ever was would love to interview him but not even Tucker Carlson has said anything and the trail I was following about him has gone cold.
Can any Frens shed light on this?
Not much here.
I just want to say Thank you to all of you here on this board. Y'all make the uncertain bearable. Have a blessed day!
Just leaving this here:
And the Butler High School's is The Golden Tornado.
A...tornado, made of gold? That's pretty weird. Sounds dangerous though.
I was thinking gold shall destroy the FED and the storm being upon us.
Choose wisely.
Serve wisely.
For the shitlibs who are claiming that this assassination attempt was staged and phony, let's wait until the widow of the fireman who was killed give a press conference while she's smirking and laughing before realizing the cameras are already rolling, TV interviews in which his family are all smiling warmly, a funeral with not a single tear in anyone's eyes, and then a family photo with them all (including the dead man) standing next to Trump. Then I'd believe them, and take the opportunity to share with them about Sandy Hook.
If it was staged by whitehats, they will use every Cabal operative and lefty journalist to poke one hole big enough to discredit it all. Thats the end of Trump and MAGA.
But that wont happen, because the bullet is real, injuries and death is real. What is fake is the USSS which is on purpose, so the DS could carry out the assassination.
And thats what they will find when they dig.
RN so many lefty news shows are paused, they want everybody to shut up so their droids won't piss off too many people so soon. everything is lining up against the cabal, right on schedule.

Clarification on Trumps VP: Pence chess move 2.0. Did giving them Pence tie up resources and time in a doomed attempt to replace Trump? Is Vance the move they can't refuse? Could it cost them what little assets and time they have left? ' Always build your enemy a golden bridge to retreat across.'
While Vance is a pretty good choice, I do think he is a placeholder VP. I think Trump cannot unveil the real VP until much close to the precipice.
That's my guess too.
Sigh. So much intensity going on around the place.
Sometimes, I really wonder how many on this forum are paying attention. I see no problem with having an opinion, but so much hand-wringing! So many frogs thinking that they know better than DJT, understand better than DJT, and can evaluate and assess things better than DJT.
I get it people don't understand Trumps pick, but instead of the first response being doubts and misgivings and dooming and moaning, and thinking about potential problems with the pick, maybe the first response should be to ask "why?", and then "What it is that DJT sees that I don't understand?"
Jeepers. Between you and me (we know most of the board doesn't read daily, chat, right?), I'm just amazed at how much angst DJT's pick of Vance appears to have generated here.
Personally, when I first saw Trumps Pick, I thought, OK. I trust DJT implicitly. My second thought was, I don't know anything about Vance, but I'm keen to find out how and why DJT chose this guy.
I don't know. Maybe some people just have never had the experience of real unity and solidarity, so they do not understand the power of such a response.
Question, by all means, but question your OWN understanding, or lack thereof, before you question and doubt the man who has carried 1000 times more burden that you ever will in your entire life.
A little humility goes a long way.
agree, if we 'trust the plan' we should be able to observe and not be bothered.
God wins & we're supposed to 'enjoy the show'🐸
Wut? Vance is a Yale college lawyer, married to another Yale college lawyer. That alone warrants suspicion from anyone out here "really paying attention." Of course there is going to be angst- regardless of some of the dumbshit things Vance has said in the past. Don't act surprised that people are giving Vance maximum scrutiny, and expressing their displeasure.
You make a good point. I am, or was, however, amazed. It took me by surprise. That is all.
There SO MUCH at stake, and people have been treading water SO HARD for so long, that emotion has overtaken rationality in many cases. I'm observing so much since 7/13... including the Muppet at Mardi gras phenomenon...got their whole git up on just screamin - so loud they can't hear themselves think. Over the top.
One thing after another, after another has people warn down and tattered. Then the 7/13 thing ...Took people already on the edge of losing it and held them by the neck hairs over the precipice. People are SERIOUSLY polarized with certain ideas, beLIEfs and literally haggard. Everyone needs to take a step back from the edge and find center again.
What, you think 7/13 was the worst thing? That shit is in the rear view dude...the hits are going to keep on coming. I don't mean physical attacks - I mean, these fuckers, the [DS] the entire D party - which has been sacrificed already (not JFK's party) - is done. They're going to do everything they can on the way out to go scorched earth. We still have the impending financial situation looming like a tidal wave in the background while we're distracted by whatever the latest attack on us is...
So get your mind off 7/13 because there's plenty more phuckery headed our way.
While waiting for coffee this morning, it dawned on me - for God knows what reason - Soros. Do you think it's just him like an evil villain, just flitting around shorting this, donating here, influencing politics there BY HIMSELF??? It takes what, 10 employees to run a burger shop? Get real... this ain't James Bond. We're told/fed/lead to believe fairy tales. There's SO MUCH we don't see or understand in an adult capacity. Think about that.
I've said it many times before, strengthen your connection to God. There really is nothing else. You're playing a game here... put things into perspective. We are at war with the factions of evil. Check in with the Supreme Commander more frequently... and chill out. Eternity is a long time and your time here is a gnat fart in comparison...No matter what, it's all gonna work out. You know that right? Remember it.
Remember all the anguish after Trump was fined gazillion dollars and then after he was convicted ? No one even remember how anguished they were then, and how stupid it was then. But they repeat the whole cycle again.
After Q brought us all the way here and imparted us so much wisdom, there is very little we can do with people who keep getting agonised with every chess move. Really, cant do anything. They just have to follow along until things get clear and then say "Oh, that was what it was".
I always been saying that the real VP pick is a precipice inducing event. It will be the first time in centuries that both president and VP would be completely untouchable. Its all about timing, including this pick.
That doesn't mean he is not an excellent choice. I think he is in almost all respects, but he is not the next Trump and so he is not the ultimate choice.
Well put, Bubble. I mean, sometimes.... You can take the anon out of the normie, but you cannot take the normie out of the anon. Sometimes.
We shall see. Time will tell. I think that what might help people most right now is to ask for a bit of heavenly wisdom. Because if Trump picked Vance, then he did it for reasons.
With apologies, I only really noticed this the other day, when you wrote as much.
Right now, at this moment, I feel like, given the timing: the assassination attempt (life vs death), the Repub Convention, the announcement of the pick, that well, it may be a precipice inducing event, but also (I think it makes sense) it may well be a watershed event too.
There's not going back. Trump made his pick. The final pre-election phase is going into super-drive. Things are likely to get extremely bumpy. And, that spiritual pressure is going to be (consciously or unconsciously) felt by many, anons and normie alike.
The devil took his shot. Now I think the hammer falls. That spiritual pressure I think probably finds its expression in the anguish and the freaking out that some of us (and others) are going through.
So you may well be right. Precipice inducing event.... Hmmmm....
I guess all a frog can do is a) tighten the belt b) put on the armor, c) say a prayer, d) check the orders of popcorn, and e) stay loose, cool and ready.
lol

I tried logging into Twitter again yesterday. I had to reset the password, but I don't remember ever changing it. It says my account is still suspended. So I tried to submit another appeal, but then it tells me that I am logged out and that I need to log in to submit an appeal. It's become a catch-22 at this point.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Well said. Thats how I felt about the way Trump survived the assassination.
In the face of this attempt, we can experience many emotions: anger, determination, frustration, outrage, relief, faith. However, I think the most appropriate one is gratitude, undying gratitude. It was not just Trump who dodged a bullet there. it was us. Unworthy us.

Trump survived an assassination attempt with a scar and no one's making an updated MGSV Punished Trump Meme???
MGSV... Metal Gear Solid V? I only played the first one on the Playstation back in the day.
Playlist of every MGS game edited into movie format complete with all CODEC, dialog, and FMV sequences. Worthy of a watch if you like the source material
Wow.
You're not missing anything.
If you're interested, just watch the trailers, and that will be good enough.
The game flopped and there's a whole controversy behind it.

Someone downvoted you... All I know is that Konami is practically dead after Kojima left. The rumors of power harassment were legendary at that company, and he'd had enough. Eight years ago, I quit my teaching job and worked at a Japanese company. I quit after 8 months or so as I wasn't gonna take crap from the lousy business manager anymore. Not for the lower pay they were giving me. He was a narcissist and I was one of many who all quit around the same time because we couldn't stand the prick. Power harassment is pretty bad in Japan. There's a notorious case in which a company was having an "enkai" drink/dinner at some restaurant and a power-mad manager shoved a subordinate's face into the boiling nabe plate and boiled the poor guy's face. Imagine taking the unhappiest, loneliest, most loathsome and sexually-frustrated person and put him in charge of others.
Konami management was apparently big into public shaming. Japan really needs an overhaul on its concept of work because in theory it should be fun to work at a gaming company like that. They shouldn't be made to dread their own lives. I have no idea what Konami does anymore these days. We'll never have another Gradius game at this point.
They make video poker and other games that are even more addictive and draining.
Video poker? BORING. I want Axelay 2.
Pays the bills. But still a 10 out of 10 on the jerkoff management scale. So I hear.
Did they arrest the power-mad manager?
I heard they kept turning off the power to Kojima’s department, so his team had to rely on portable generators to work on the game.
Ya i agree, I personally prefer to visit as a tourist than to actually live there.
I'm sure u/stevethefish76 can elaborate on that better than I can since he's literally there in Japan, but work ethics is pretty much like that in Japan.
They will have you work and work for hours and sleep there at the corporate office and take a shower or wash yourself at the sink in the employee restrooms.
You have to literally kiss their feet and asses to get at least one rung above on the ladder if you want to succeed. If you badmouth or underperform, they will shame you for eternity.
They can't really fire you unless you commit a heinous crime like murder or embezzlement so basically you're chained up to the company unless you commit seppuku or jump out of the window.
I believe if you quit, they will make it hard for you to find another job elsewhere. That's why we see a lot of NEETs (No Education, Employment or Training) living at home, playing video games and watching anime cuz they don't even want to work for a company that treats you like shit.
Yes. I quit the company I worked at for only 8 months and went back to teaching where I had far less stress, better pay, and every time I walk into a classroom, the kids rejoice. Far better than the grumpy dickbrain who pretended to not understand my Japanese. At that company, The workday was from 8am to 5:30pm, but could I leave at 5:30? Oh no no no, I had to stay until at LEAST 6, pretending to be busy, just for optics. It is such bullshit but it was a traditional company after all. That company made everyone sign an agreement that if they were to quit, they couldn't work at another company in that industry for one year. I know others complained to the business ethics department in that city... I forget how to call it. The labor board or whatever.
The "bosshole" as I call him had a knack of hiring people who did not care about what the company did. Imagine working at a nerd-related company yet not be interested in the subject matter. He did have a penchant for hiring pretty young girls. One guy he'd hired for the team made an inappropriate comment to one of the women and the bosshole humiliated him, forced him to apologize publicly to EVERYONE, removed him from the business group, and made him work the warehouse until his initial 3-month contract expired. Then he was replaced by another young, attractive woman. I saw that cretin try to flirt with one young woman with a feather duster, pretending to tickle her. Holy shit, it made me wanna puke. She was sleeping with the guy who worked at the company's boxing plant though, which made it even funnier. He drove like a total asshole too. When I quit, the president wanted to ask me why I was quitting. I told him that if he doesn't fix the business manager, more will quit because everyone hates him. He didn't listen to me, so more quit. They'd both gone to the same high school together, one for low-level students with bad grades. Eventually the bosshole finally did get shitcanned. One of the R&D project manager guys who quit moved to Tokyo and after a year began working for another company in that industry. I sometimes do translation work for him.
Many of the people at that company were pretty based. Obama came to Japan that August to boo-hoo whine and grovel about how evil America is because we bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki that month in 1945. The guys there were like, "We don't care to hear Obama's apologies for something he had nothing to do with. We don't need to hear that crap." Going back to education though, the people aren't quite as interesting, and they believe whatever the TV news says. The vaccination rate is extremely high among teachers here, it seems. That friend of mine who moved to Tokyo, as well as my former team lead did not get vaccinated because they could tell it was BS.
Anyhow, they need to overhaul Japanese labor laws. No more of that crap about new employees feeling obligated to work longer hours to somehow "prove" themselves, no more crap about how the managers can dress comfortably but their subordinates cannot, no more valuing looking busy over actual results, etc. I did my share of mandatory overtime when I worked at American countries, but they also had crunches before deadlines and such. At the company I worked at, they didn't even pay you for overtime until it surpassed 10 hours per week. And when there was a holiday, we were expected to work the next Saturday and if we didn't want to, we'd have to use a day of PTO. Such BS.
u/QToad
Damn, yeah exactly what I've heard about work ethics in Japan. Harsh and unforgiving.
I'm imagining they had pompadours, dressed like gangsters wielding a bat or chains, rode motorcycles and had ganguro girlfriends. They probably even smoked in the bathroom and bullied the cowardly teachers.
lol
Haha! That’s a good one.
I’ve heard about that too, workplace-politics.
At my work, we got a new big boss, the new big boss sent away all of the managers who they didn’t like to other buildings.
That makes sense, “Education/Academics” is basically learning/memorizing information that is approved by the gubment. ‘If it’s not in the books; it can’t be right.’
…I saw this Australian guy who lives in japan with a Japanese wife. “TheJapanChannelDotCom”.
He showed a wheel-barrel that nobody was using.
He said, “Nobody is using the wheel-barrel because they don’t want to look lazy, even if it would be more efficient to use it, so they just leave it on the ground.”
He also showed a guy painting a very long/tall outdoor hallway by hand with a brush, saying that the guy is painting it by hand so that everyone can see he’s working extra hard, versus using a roller, spray paint, etc.
That’s good to hear that they are based despite having Fake News too (NHK).
However I did also recently see a guy on the street showing Japanese youth the Swatstika, most of them didn’t know what it was. Weird since they know about the atomic bombs but Germany was their ally too.
I just looked up the story. Apparently it was the company president, who was a crappy 25 year old kid. He was not arrested. The guy who had his face burned had to sue the company. Wow. I'd seen the video before on TV, but I assumed it was some department manager not some snot-nosed young punk who became company president. Probably because he inherited the company through family.
https://stomp.straitstimes.com/singapore-seen/japanese-worker-sues-company-president-for-shoving-his-face-into-boiling-hotpot-as-a
lol what is this the feudal era?
Yeah, it happens a lot in Asia. The company I worked at was family-run. The saying goes that the first generation builds a company, the second generation grows a company, and the third generation ruins it. At the company I worked for, the grandfather really gave his heart into everything the company did, appearing in TV commercials, etc. His son who inherited the company maintained it, but had no real interest in the company's subject matter. He retired when I began, and his son was the same age as I was. The guy couldn't care less about what the company made. He'd grown up with it all and didn't care. He had some stupid ideas too and showed his ignorance for something many people have a passion for.
