While I have found myself excited about Harris being the likely nominee, there is concern that Josh Shapiro is a top prospect for her VP pick. The reason for him being a top prospect is that he is from Pennsylvania and so the hope would be that he can help win swing states in the area.
The concern, though, is he seems to be Islamophobic and, by picking him, Harris would lose a lot of goodwill with not only progressives like me, but with Muslims. Some figure she will lose Michigan if she picks Shapiro, which would ultimately defeat much of the purpose of choosing him. What good is it to bring in a VP pick that might help her win Pennsylvania (19 votes) if he guarantees she loses Michigan (15 votes)???

Hill-dog actual had a recount working in Michigan but called it off when they found out 59% of precincts in Detroit were not eligible to be included because they had more votes counted than the poll books showed had voted. Without the votes from Detroit, she would have lost Michigan by an even bigger margin
