It was like this all the way back in high school: you only saw minorities having lunch with the white kids if they were the only one of their kind around, otherwise there were tables that were all blacks, all Asians, all Hispanic, etc.
I saw that also, but white kids who were southern Baptist or their dad was a preacher fully sat at the black table no issue. They went to church together. It’s a culture thing not necessarily skin.
It's a 'they knew each other' thing. If they didn't know each other in advance, they'd likely have followed the trend and sat at a table with people who look like them.
This is what I was trying to say in part yesterday, but with regard to marriage, and more strongly expressed. Nothing complicated or hateful about it, but can be tricky for autists to explain it simply.
thats how the cafeteria was in middle school. all the whites were on one side, the hispanics in the middle, and the blacks on the other side. it just natually happened like that
So many migrant folks, after moving to a new country in their youth, marrying, having kids, raising grandkids, at the winter of their lives have this incredible yearning to go back to their home country. This seems to be much more profound amongst men. Whenever I watch this, I am reminded of the book Alchemist.
I am not talking about illegals. I am talking about real migrants who came legally, assimilated into the country, raised their kids in the new culture.
I’ll just say I’ve been pushed out of two homes from massive influx of “migrants”.
The second one was partly from this country, I guess, but they were from places where they commit a lot of crime, and promptly banded together to continue. The rest from all over the place, except from here.
It’s what I’m referring to when it feels like there’s a biblical curse involved.
“You will be cut off from your people.”
My family had been all in one place, very tight knit, now scattered all over. It’s probably much harder to have never had that, but it’s hard to lose it, too. I am quite positive others have had it worse in this mess.
Almost everyone who has migrated decades ago have had their home towns / countries changed beyond recognition. Globalisation is like a slow poison. It looks like it flows only in one direction in the beginning, however, eventually it spreads everywhere.
Its kinda ironic as well. You move to another country and without even realising you dilute that country's culture and heritage. You then realise that by having left your country, you also allowed your original country to be diluted as well.
I worked at a place that was 50-50 Hispanic Americans and White Americans.
Noticed at the lunch tables that most would gather with their own race. It was like 90% or better on any given day.
They all liked and respected each other.
They just preferred their own culture.
Go figure.

The mormons tend to group together also.
Well -- the WIVES, anyway . . .
KEK

In the filming of The Planet of the Apes ------- the gorilla costumes would sit with the chimpanzee costumes.

Look, I know you're a mod here, but I have to say this anyway.
Why are you using the Left's language, thus ceding ground?
They are not "migrants," they are illegal aliens.
No, this can't stop what's coming, and that'll put an end to this, but we've backtracked enough!
because in this case, I believe bubble is referring to all people who relocate - not just illegal immigrants
Fair enough. I've just gotten so damn averse to that word lately that I find myself reflexively on-edge whenever I hear it.
Clown World has gotten SO bad that it's even happened to the word THEY--as in they/them.
Isn’t that nuts?
I’ve been annoyed with people corrupting certain scriptures.

Makes sense--see my other comment here. I should've waited for you.
I want to go back, but it isn’t there anymore …
Where are you from fren?

Pretty much. I’ve explained to the awake immigrants that exact thing - what’s going to happen to everyone if we keep this up.
No more homelands. No more people. No more cultures. No more families. No traditions. This has to stop, for everyone.
Yep! Spent almost 17 years in limbo, without friends. Found a good church and they are my people. I never want to miss time to fellowship.
Agreed. My parish is my second family.
This is the way.
Sounds like a name from The Lord of the Rings.
From wikipedia:
So it is not a coincidence!
Libs: “Multiculturalism has always existed on earth 😩”
Me:Yes, it’s literally why we had wars and crusades numbnuts 🤦🏼
I don’t know a single liberal that is well versed in history.
I’m white where will DEI tell me to sit?
They say that people are free to identify however they want.
They lie.
If you’re black and identify as a Republican, “you’re a traitor”.
If you’re mixed and identify as a minority, with Republican values, you’re white, and a racist.
If you’re Hispanic and identify as Republican, you’re a criminal for some reason or another.
If you’re Asian and identify as Republican, no college degree for you.
Go back to hell, demons.
Forget the “Republican” part, it’s actually “if you diverge from the groupthink narrative”. Assimilate with the Borg or perish. Resistance is futile.
It tells you to DIE.
It’s amazing that the “Inclusion” excludes white people
I misread that guy's username as Wyclef Jean
Birds of a feather, flock together...
There's a reason it's an age old saying...
How is that pronounced? Great new TIL!
Has a Welsh ring to it, would not be ok for white people to use this word today, but ok for anyone else...
