My son also suddenly came down with type 1 at 16 yrs old. It was shortly after his mother took him to a doctor for a acne treatment." i think that was the cause' I see most of the answers here are addressing type 2. type 1 the pancreas cells are destroyed., meaning they don't make insulin...
There was a recent discovery about T1D just released this year.
They located the trigger that causes the auto-immune response to attack the beta cells in the pancreas.
It’s caused by a specific viral infection that tricks the immune system into attacking beta cells and essentially labeling them as a threat to the body (this is why stem cell treatment and beta cell transplants fail to cure t1d because the immune system essentially labeled them as a threat to the body)
The acne treatment is likely not the cause of t1d, the acne is probably a result of the auto immune disease attacking the body the same way t1d is.
At some point, there was probably some viral infection, could be a very minor one or a small sickness that causes the body to react.
This study that was published is huge because they now know a big piece of the cause which can boost research to prevent t1d and after prevention is knocked out, it is easier to then figure out ways to cure.
The roadblocks I see are pharma companies not wanting to lose out on lifelong insulin sales. But the key here is that they want to prevent t1d, by doing that, if they can make money on preventing each and every child, their market will sky rocket.
That is the only way pharma companies will allow it to be researched and cured because they will have larger profits on preventing all children rather than just the .1% of kids who actually develop it.
My understanding is that type 1 results from a destruction of the insulin-producing cells in the pancreas. This can be caused by a vaccine, antibiotic or anything that triggers the immune system into attacking the pancreas.
The first thing to do is to determine whether the pancreas is still under attack and to prevent that attack. I can only guess that some drugs such as Ivermectin, Hydroxychloroquine, steroids and antihistamines might do something useful. But if you leave it until the pancreas is destroyed then I don't think there's much hope. The liver is the only organ that can significantly regenerate.
You can control type 1 diabetes by removing the need for insulin; that means sticking to a strictly ketone diet. Even then, you'll probably require small amounts of insulin because carbohydrates can't be avoided completely but, since insulin spikes are very harmful to the body, less is good.
Apple Cider Vinegar is a big one as it lowers your blood sugar.
Magensium and Potassium are supper important as they both are electrolytes and they also regulate blood sugar.
Iodine helps with blood sugar management.
Vitamin B1 is very important in assymilating sugars and carbs in general.
Chromium is a very powerful mineral that lowers blood sugar as well.
Most diabetics are deficient in all of the minerals lister above.
You can also try naringing which can be found in grapefruit(juice or fruit). It acts as metformin, except it's natural. It's so potent that it interacts with other medications.
I would also check and see how your liver is doing. There is a direct link between high blood sugar and a fatty liver.
I was diagnosed 1 year ago and I am 48 years old. How does that even happen?. Put my doc in check and made them run additional tests. Sure enough I have type 1. They said no insulin yet but will require a pump within 6 months. Over a year and my pancreas is still working fine. So still not on insulin. I have other autoimmune diseases that have been confirmed but also require no treatment at this time. I would be happy for someone to have a remedy cause the "wait and see" approach does not make me feel all warm and fuzzy. My GAD65 is over 300 but c-peptide is high at 14.
I'm glad you don't need insulin, but that diagnosis makes no sense at all.
There are a number of ways to decrease your risk of T1D. Vanadium in particular has shown the ability to protect your insulin-producing cells, in animal studies.
But I think sticking with a low carb diet is the best medicine. As long as your blood sugar is in control, you don't manifest any diabetic symptoms, no matter what they say you have.
I agree and several of my other doctors agree that is doesn't make sense which led my endocrinologist to say I was a medical marvel. Not a real great answer and she certainly did not appreciate me pushing. One of my other non treated autoimmune problems is thyroid related so I firmly believe it's my thyroid not my pancreas.
my step-mother started taking a walk around the neighborhood when she was diagnosed and I think brought her condition back under control. Don't discount the benefit of sunshine if you can't walk much.
OP is discussing type 1 diabetes, it is essentially another disease.
Edit: Many with type 2 can get it under controll with just walkung and changes in diet. Type 1 would die without meditation.
Type II is a diet problem for most people, and most people with Type II are really suffering from insulin resistance that comes from over consumption of processed flours and other sugars over a number of years. Many of the things you hear of treating and even curing diabetes are directed at Type II. I have Type II.
Type I from what I have read is a genetic disorder where insulin is not produced. Could there be cures? I think it is possible, but I believe that would be something surgical or maybe even stem cell related treatment of the insulin producing cells in the pancreas.
The body takes in food and by the time it gets to the small intestine much of it is in the form of long sugar molecules which are then split up into small glucose molecules which are circulated by the blood stream. The brain takes what energy it needs as a priority but other cells need to be "unlocked" by a key to accept the fuel.
That is where insulin comes in. It is the key. Cells are unlocked by the insulin and the glucose fuel is taken in and the mitochondrtia convert that fuel into another fuel used internally (ATP).
Glucose left over is stored temporarily in the liver where it can be retransmitted between meals. If there is still glucose left over it gets put into long-term storage as fat. If you get too much fat the body becomes insulin resistant so more and more insulin is required to get the fuel into the cells. It is almost like a self-destruct mechanism.
Why does the body have such a dangerous mechanism built in? I think it is connected to hibernation! When it comes to winter, bears stuff themselves with food. They become insulin resistant so need to eat even more food to get the same amount of fuel into their cells. They can put on ten pounds in a day!
They eventually go to sleep and ketosis trips in, it is really an emergency mechanism, and provides glucose while they sleep. They wake up in spring and continue as normal. If we could crack that part then maybe we could fix Type 2 diabetes. It certainly puts ketosis, as in "keto diet" and intermittent fasting into perspective.
Type 1 is where the body does not actually produce any insulin in the first place so insulin injections are required to keep alive.
(Sorry, I have been reading up on the subject recently!)
I'm certain there is. Working on it. Type 1 for over 30 years. Covid and GAW reinvigorated my search for a cure, and I've been doing many hacks to cure it based on any promising studies I could find, old or new. Trying to be the guy who publishes myT1DStory.rocks, but admittedly not there yet. Don't stop hoping and looking. If you or anyone beats me to it, I'll celebrate just as much.
Did a number of parasite cleanses to start. Hopeful studies to research include using vanadium as a supplement: it's been proven to cure t1d in rats. Also repeated fasting. There's a guy named Dr Valter Longo ... he cites fasting research (for his own thing, he's not researching T1D cures) and if you look at the studies he cites and go through their sources, you'll find links to studies showing that repeated quarterly fasts have regenerated ability to produce insulin. I've done 2 5-day fasts, and I believe they've made improvements in my ability to handle carbs.
You should also definitely look up the work of Dr Faustman at Faustmanlab.org if you're not already familiar: her papers in March-Apr 2020 effectively proved that T1D is an overload of glucose in the blood because of special cells that normally use glucose as their primary fuel that lose their ability to use it, which was a new discovery in the field. She's not funded by big pharma. She also proved T1D is linked to TB vaccines (certain TB vax schedules, not all of them).
Been strict carnivore since March. Highly recommend it. My basal requirement has dropped down to 0.45 units/hr from 0.8 before and had been higher in the past. Bolus insulin used to be around 18-20 units/day, now about 6/day.
Also look up PEMF therapies. I had my basal at 0.3/hr for a few weeks after a series of treatments with good results, but unfortunately that was transitory. (It did a great job removing some scaly keloids on my skin, though! Those haven't come back.) I plan to do more, but it's expensive.
Be careful with any of these hacks. Research them first. Carnivore requires a lot of conscious hydration to avoid constipation as a consequence. I wholly recommend it anyway- great circulatory benefits, and minor cuts and skin issues heal way faster than I had gotten used to. Vanadium is hard to tolerate and can easily ruin your day. Parasite cleanses too. If nobody else finds the cure first, I'll keep hacking away 'til I find it. I think that PEMF will probably be the easiest cure but the specific protocol hadn't been found (or disclosed) yet.
Had a neighbor over 30+ years ago whose daughter had diabetes. She was a bulldog in research and medical studies. Wide awake to big pharma and involved in various groups trying to bring awareness re: cures and coverups.
She told me that there was a cure for Type I but it was being suppressed. The medical community knew but $$$.
(Also cures for Lyme which killed her brother via medical mismanagement, denial that Lyme was even real (anyone old enough to remember that?) and big pharma.)
These people are evil (is real by definition and not just a “saying”.) .02
My eldest son developed type 1 aged 18, I'd like to know this also..
Most people don't understand type 1 is NOT caused by diet or lifestyle, that's type 2.
Type 2 can be reversed via lifestyle/diet
Type 1 is irreversible and life threatening

You are correct, just like curing cancer, no money in that.
What meds were given that you think caused it?
Not sure it was a while back , but I know it was antibiotic,

I don't think meditating will prevent death. What makes you think that?
Hahaha. That was a nice autocorrect :')
Keto diet.
I wonder whether Ivermectin does also help with that. Until then, I shall include you in my prayers. Please, try to go keto.🙏🏻

Yeah, type 2 is definitely curable. Keto diet or carnivore cures it.
I’ve heard of type 1’s on carnivore needing very little insulin.
My own insulin requirements were cut by more than half after going carnivore.
It's not genetic. Been proven to be vaccine linked, from certain TB vaccine regimens.
That is the first I have heard of that as a source.
I'm sure it's multi-factorial. But the correlation is very strong. You can find a lot of data through faustmanlab.org.

Does her daughter still have diabetes, or was she able to reverse it?
I have heard about cures in humans, but haven't learned the ingredients yet.
No, she fought to get the cures released but was unsuccessful.
Harmaline
Thanks for the tip. Does that produce a lymphatic purge? Have you heard of T1D being cured with harmaline?
