Nicotine... While we here on the boards are aware that it helped covid-19 the normal people are starting to realize it and now they're asking questions what else could it be doing cuz we've been told it's bad🤭 (www.facebook.com)

I wish I could remember where I read the article., But it was basically pointing out how smoking brings activity whereas weed does the opposite.

Basically one is a stimulant, and one is a depressive. And that's why nicotine was vilified-they don't want you all cool looking and active as hell.

Nicotine and caffeine aid in concentration and attentiveness.

Both drugs also have a calming effect.

You just have to be careful of any health issues they may cause.

Marijuana is a psychedelic drug that also contains a large amount of of healing molecules known as terpenes and cannabinoids. Nicotine is a mild stimulant and a powerful detoxifier.

One is for a camping and hiking weekend the other is for the work week.

....Alcohol is for when you have to spend Thanksgiving with your in-laws....

Do you have to smoke a cig or can a patch be just as good?

I haven been using the patch (Rugby brand). If you get the "Step 2" 14mg patches, cut them into fourths. The "Step 1" 21mg patches can be cut into sixths to deliver about a 4mg dose. Nicotine from these patches is not even slightly addictive, at least in my case. I have never been a smoker.

a nicotine patch would also work. regardless of how it enters the body the nicotine molecule attaches to the same cell receptor.

I think that Desmoxan may also attach to that same receptor. Desmoxan does not have the addictive qualities of nicotine. It is used for detoxing from nicotine by attaching to the receptor thereby blocking nicotine from attaching to it. Once your body finishes detoxing from the nicotine, you simply stop using the Desmoxan. I think its referred to as replacement therapy.

I have the patch on every day. That's my baseline. If i didn't use the patch i think i would be smoking too many cigs. I smoke organic American Spirits here and there (additive and pesticide free) I noticed if i smoke the non organic Spirits they make me feel like shit and give me a headache. I live near an area where they spray a lot of pesticides at certain times. Smoking helps me the most when the pesticides are heavily in the air. I can breathe much more easily after I smoke. Cigs are very good and very bad at the same time. On one hand the nicotine blocks the the nACHR and ACE2 receptors in your body from attaching to toxins ie the spike protein on venom and the recent "covid" bio-weapons. On the other hand they have a lot of tar and a little carbon monoxide, Formaldehyde and Hydrogen cyanide. The tar usually contains an unsafe amount of the radioactive isotopes of Lead, Cadmium and polonium in nano particle form which the Tobacco plant may absorbs from its growing environment. The Tobacco plant has a high affinity for these heavy metals unfortunately. On the other hand again, if you are a healthy active person with a body that has healthy detoxification pathways you could argue that the Tobacco could be helping your body detox from heavy metal particles that we end up breathing just from being in our modern industrial environment. I've heard that argument a few times. Cigs are definitely a double edged sword though, like a lot of things in life.

Tabaco and nicotine are fine, cigarettes are poison

Straight organic tobacco cigarettes are likely fine in moderation. The average market cigarette has 20-30 chemicals in it. Moderation in all things. Tobacco is super easy to grow.

I remember that day at work when CV became public. I went home as I was higher risk (they said); I'm a smoker over 60. Nervous that it was a respiratory issue, I came home and did research. Realized that Nicotine helped. (Of course smoking isn't healthy, but finding that out made me laugh).

Now, add in that California banned Menthol everything. It's all I smoke. Well, guess what. Mint is GOOD FOR YOU! They can't ban ALL cigarettes, so they banned Mint sales.

Nothing they do is for the benefit of the people.

Nicotine is helpful on its own, but we still don't need to smoke because of all the tar and smoke buildup due to all the other chemicals found in cigarettes .

IMO the patch is the safest form of nicotine. Why? Because putting on a nicotine patch brings no pleasure. Costco has nicotine gums and lozenges, but no patches. Costco only stocks products that sell WELL, so the patches must not sell well. Maybe because they work at helping people quit smoking? Some reviews report that they quit smoking but are addicted to the gums/lozenges. No ZYNs either, there are definitely people addicted to those. Additionally, the patch keeps up levels around the clock. The half-life of nicotine is about 2 hours.

If you cut round nicotine patches, cut them like a pizza. Don't be like me and do a bunch of calculus to figure out how wide each strip needs to be. I used patches for a few weeks to rule out long covid as a cause of some health issues, then quit. I have cravings for chocolate and sugar, but not for the patch.

Smokers and vapers are definitely hooked on something. No nicotine, had a smoking phase around 18, dropped it and never looked back

As someone who quit smoking twenty years ago, I took up vaping about five years ago. I don't inhale (where have we heard that before), but apparently get enough nicotine in my system to ward off many of the ailments that occur naturally and not so naturally.

Some of the good effects of nicotine have been known for a long time. There is a severe lack of honest research, thanks largely to the religious hatred of tobacco smoking. The research that has been done is probably tainted with this bias. Some references to get you started:

Looking for little nicotine mints that are not made by most of the companies out there that contain a lot of artificial flavoring and other synthesized chemicals in them? Remember, many of the popular brands are made by the big tobacco industry. They make their products addictive by way of the additives. Take a look at this company. They make a product that is as natural and chemical free as possible. Nic Nac Naturals Nicotine Lozenges

I've been genuinely wondering, why they spend so much money attacking nicotine, if they just want us all to die off. That said, I really ought to quit smoking and use snus or pouches of some sort.

I roll my own smokes using pipe tobacco. Tastes great with no chemicals and the filters are cotton. I don't have the hacking up like I did when I was smoking Marlboros.

Is that really a concern to anyone?

Would that be a real threat to President Trump?

I've been smoking for years. I need to quit because it's unhealthy. The thing is, I still enjoy it. Yes, it stinks, yes, it's inhaling hot gasses into your lungs and does major damage. It may have done something to prevent a lung infection from covid, MAYBE. The real deal is that if you're living healthy, eating and exercising enough I think it would prevent bad infections naturally. Do not start smoking or vaping. I grew up in the 80's and 90's when smoking was still "cool" to a degree. Its not cool anymore and I would definitely NOT recommend starting.

As I understand it, there is no problem with tobacco and nicotine is a powerful anti-viral.

What kills is all the toxins added during manufacturing. There are literally dozens and dozens of toxic additives.

Think of all the smokers who magically had no problems during Covid. Logic would say them, the homeless and the Amish should all have died first by Covid. Everything about the scamdemic made no sense.

Smoking tobacco is vile and very damaging to most organs.

It seems that the damage is done by some or all of the nasty stuff lumped together as "tar". There is little information about the dangers of pure nicotine (obviously in the correct dosage and formulation with safe carrier substance). There are a number of "safe" methods of use so you should try them. Examples are gum, patch, sachets, and even vaping has not been shown to be dangerous if commercial mixes are used but be wary of this since vaping has not been shown to be safe either.

I just bought the patch and gun. Looking forward to losing weight, getting healthy and feeling better. I am working two jobs, and I an always tired... I need some partial help before Trump takes office. 353 lbs - Down from 390 in 2023 September. 368 in August of this year. Currently I am eating mainly meat, eggs, cheese. rice, and potatoes. I would be carnivore if I could afford it.
