Sorry to hear about the relative. We just had a major and moderate family fracturing ourselves, though everyone is still alive.
Imo, get a good tent or two, small solar generator, battery powered heat, solar stove, good .22 pistol and 3000 rounds ammo, water purification, 250lb beans, and maybe a few other gadgets, and everything can do what it wants after that. In full, that may still all be under $1000, and definitely under $2000.

In other news, I put myself in a bit of a pickle to escape my fully- asleep, hate-filled (as in, I respect her opinion even if I disagree with them, but she hates mine), financially-retarded other. I moved across the state to stay with my son and gave up my job, and am falling behind, but I have a little money to live on and have a line on a great- paying job that I'm pretty confident that I'll snag. I just hope they don't take my car before then (I'm a month behind in my payment). Even so, it's worth it to be finally free of that 4-6%er that I was with.

A few months ago I started following Niklas Gustafson on instagram. His account most likely popped up because I follow carnivore diet accounts. Other than that I don’t much about him. This is a very interesting video about oxalates. I don’t agree with everything here or maybe just not sure what to believe, because we have been told so many lies about what foods are healthy, just so a company can get filthy rich. A year ago I didn’t know about oxalates & still know very little. Summary: certain plants have high amounts of oxalates and they cause inflammation and sickness. This lady mentions excess oxalates cause kidney stones. Well if you have paid attention I almost died due to a stone blocking the urethra causing sepsis. Bottom line: watch if you want to. If you are having gut or chronic conditions figure out why. It’s not easy doing an elimination diet but if it helps it’s worth it.
