And also unite the Virginias, so that Republicans have a chance to win.
If we then unite the Maritime provinces into one state, then we just get 6 new states (assuming Quebec independent). Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba would be GOP states. BC, Ontario, and Maritime would be Democrat states, with BC being a flip state.
Except Greenland. We could pretend it's going to be the 52nd state and all the lefties will move there because it's "green" and then surprise! Not a state, just a property of the US. And then we put gunboats around it.
