I disagree. A man can be proud that he stood up against the normal because he loved Jesus. Also, because he didn't join in with the popular opinion and helped out every person he could.
Even just relating this to the music industry alone, and what we know about it now. I would have to guess it was the same back then. So if Frank didn't sell his soul to devil for riches and fame that would be a self pride worth singing from the roof.
