Our extended family gatherings went from a knock-down drag-out over vaccines and masks four years ago… to this Christmas “we don’t watch the news anymore.” And I kid you not, after another round of drinks and a “cheers” one family member tells me off to the side “I’m coming around, I see what you were saying.” That warmed my heart!
No more going along to get along. Even after family violence. They could have done anything else on Christmas, but came together with you over politics instead. Enjoy the win!
This last couple of weekends during family holiday parties, I also had some relatives who "came out" as voting for Trump and Republicans all the way down the ticket! We noticed the "still liberals" didnt even show up.We steered away from blaming Biden (didnt rub it in) and had great discussions talking about the positive things coming in the near future and the spirit of Maga. It was nice reconnecting and seeing them waking up. It was like a Christmas miracle.
I'm with you on this, I do think it became too big to rig for a Kamala win but, in my opinion, there was still a lot of cheating. I believe Schiff's win, for example, demonstrates that they focused on rigging the down ballot candidates. I have high hopes that all the cheating comes out and paper ballots in person makes a comeback.
My brothr told me he voted for Trump and the first time in his life he voted for a Republican. I did not rub it in. But I did say remebr all though times you told me "Trump is done and going to jail". It was just the mouth peice for the Liberals in your party. Sane middle of the road Democrats need dto purge the libertals out of its party. I gave my brother on some news site that are pretty accurate.

Very true. My sister is/was a diehard rock-ribbed leftie who had her house covered in Biden signs and would have supported him even if he'd been endorsed by Satan himself.
These days, she never mentions politics at all, which is unusual. But I haven't said a word to her on the subject. It's up to her to see the light, as so many others are doing.

He once objected to my bringing up political things in our siblings calls (occasional phone call with 5 sibs), and said that politics is none of his business. He also got the jab, and when I asked him which one, he got nasty. We didn't speak for a while.
It wasn't more than 3 weeks ago that he apologized to me, and said he was in a Stockholm Syndrome situation. He's now involved in organizing an assembly in his county.
AND he now sends MAGA stuff to the fam! God is so very good.
And I care not about speaking any version of "I told you so."
How many here (and others you know) under the age of 75, actually watch network television?
If people under 75 years of age are consuming news, what trough are they swillin at? Yahoo news? Know anyone still rockin an aol email address?... I do!
Are they not watching network news (any 3 letter) is it because:
A) They've cut the cord and just don't have it as an easily available option
B) They have realized they've been duped hard and it's all bs
C) They're embarrassed and aware they've been wrong about everything and they're "taking a break" aka "drying out"
I still have an aol email. Others email addresses too, but still have my aol one. My husband's only email is aol. Lol. We watch NO news. Get our news here and on Telegram mostly. :)

The thing is. Democrats aren't even an option. And Republicans didn't used to be either until MAGA took over. They were both awful.
