Unless it was stolen they have some money behind them because that's a lot of money in ammo, especially the .50. Average price of a .50 BMG round is about $3.50, that's $35k.
It's actually come down since then. It fluctuates up and down. It's been as low as $2.47. Here's a graph with daily averages: https://blackbasin.com/ammo-prices/50-bmg/
Looks like PMC boxes, which is a South Korean brand, it doesn't mean Korea is providing for this asylum seeker. PMC can be bought anywhere, whether a local gun store or even online. It's a common brand and they make quality range ammo for us normies.
Have to be. I highly doubt that truck can handle that weight unless theyβve really done some major work. Even then I doubt it.
But, given the low IQ, they were probably driving it with their ass 2β from the pavement and Highway Patrol couldnβt help but notice ;)
20k 762 itself would be around 800lbs, which wouldn't be detrimental.
10k 50bmg is well over 2500lbs. Plus the driver, along with the 762, you're totalling around 3500-4000lbs of cargo, if none of it's in metal cans, which appears not.
That truck is probably set to 1300lns max for payload, but let's me honest, I've seen plenty of vehicles going to and from Mexico that bottom out their vehicles.
Reporter said 'coming from Phoenix', so sounds like they were going to the border? maybe this was a trip back into Mexico? I don't think there is a way for us to know for sure based on this report.
They had to think they could get it through so my question is how much did get through already????

My first thought too. It couldn't have been purchased all at once, so it makes me think there's quite a few more players involved.
i'm gonna say the government provided it for them.
Probably the IRS
Yeah, if you look at the image it's all PMC in factory cases.
Yeah unfortunately that 7.62 is worth .50 a pop. Went up from .17 π
Where TF are you buying ammo that cheap? .50 BMG was $5 a round ten years ago for me.

Cool link thanks
10,000 rounds of .50 is a go-to-war amount of .50. Yikes.
That's a helluva lot of weight in that SUV.
Curious to the maker of the ammo.....

Bigger question: where are the weapons located they were transporting the ammo to???
How did that rig carry 10K rounds of 50? That alone is roughly 6,250 lbsβ¦.and yes, I actually looked it up.
Edit; add 650 lbs for the AK ammo.
It says "vehicles" How many vehicles? And how did they find them all at once? It doesn't add up.
I think the reporter said 2 vehicles, and they were parked at a motel 6 where the mean were overnighting.
2 SUV'S are not enough to carry all that weight. Definitely fishy. I couldn't even carry half of it in my pick up.
Yea 2500lbs of salt in the salter has the back end of my F350 sagging and thats with an extra spring.
Dam. You need air bag assist too if you do the salt thing every year.
Perhaps they're lying on how many rounds.

Look at the photo. That thing is riding with about two inches of clearance in the wheel well.

Going to Mexico it wouldn't be questioned (seen frequently on i35 with cars in tow). But coming out of Mexico throws all kinds of red flags.
I looked up the weight of each round for both and did the math above. Itβs a lot more than 2,500lbs. Have to admit I didnβt look at the picture.
50 bmg? Makes me think they've got some technicals built with 50 cals on them. Thats not a weapon you just walk around with.
Depends, there was a guy at the Richmond rally a few years back walking with a Barrett.
I will take the 7.62 for a fun range day π
And once again, we've been culturally enriched! ππππ
Mostly peaceful asylum seekers transporting ammunition for Ukraine - probably MSM
Suspension looks overloaded, lots of weight
That 7.62x39 ammo should be sold to American citizens, at a huge discount price.
I think someone stole my ammo
If so can describe the bullets, may I have them back?
Which direction were they heading. I missed it if it's out there. No difference. Just curious

Shit - I hope it wasn't Ted Nugent!

Aw, God Bless asylum seekers...........
