A forensic wipe of data would take quite some time.
Entailing writing random data over the previous sectors that held the data you want gone.
The timeline greatly increases when doing it on RAID storage because of the multiple platters or drives involved.
Sounds like Elon Musk can look at the device's forensics so they may not get away with deleting anything.
