President Trump has been dropping hints that our financial picture is not nearly as bad as we are led to believe. But, for a guy like Massie, whose career is based on being a budget hawk, those hints aren’t enough.
Hopefully, like his fellow Kentuckian Rand Paul, we will soon hear Massie giving a belated endorsement to President Trump’s vision for America.
President Trump is a smart man. He is stoking the fire with no tax on overtime for the manufacturing jobs that will be coming in via tax breaks for companies who manufacture in the U.S.
Not to mention if Canada becomes 51'st then Russia becomes natural trading partner through Alaska. We are going to start making our own stuff again.
I'm not sure we will trade with Russia overland through Alaska. Ground transport is expensive and all those goods would have to travel clear across Siberia to get someplace theyed be used, not to mention the trip through canada and alaska would be long espescially in winter. Look how much things cost just getting ton alaska. Likely it would go by sea through ports in the black sea and during summer to the northern ports.
While I understand the sentiment. Doing this stunt now seems silly. But I suppose the outcome of the vote was likely decided before they stepped on the floor. And he knew that.
So he was in position to do the obligatory “Principled Republican/Libertarian” protest vote.
I respect Massie, at least his reasons for voting no are typically ideologically decent and he's not just some rhino.
He's principled and if all of our representatives were like that we'd be in a lot less debt and trouble as a country
Watch for the details of the budget in the Committees. Supposedly the work will be done with transparency with live feeds we can watch. I'm pretty sure I heard that.
Nah, there does need to be a plan for the deficit spending, which is something Republicans love to increase despite calling for fiscal responsibility. Hopefully Trump and the the people around him have something up their sleeve to break the GOPe on this.
I saw Massie talking about his vote. He doesn’t like that they are adding billions more to the yearly deficit. It’s reasonable.
I rather presumed that. The libertarian wing of the Republican party needs some reinforcement IMHO.
Thank you, I cam here looking for the reason Massie would not back this.
Reasonable unless the money is somehow there and it's not an actual deficit
Wasn’t Massie on Tucker saying he’s the only member of Congress who doesn’t have an AIPAC sponsor?
Yes.
I believe he said Republican member. Though that doesn’t mean he isn’t owned by someone else. Just means it’s not the Jews for once.

Ice road truckers would be advertising for more drivers!!
Loved that show! I miss Alex, RIP Darrell!
Why did Massie vote No? https://www.newsweek.com/republican-breaks-gop-budget-plan-vote-2036282

^^^this^^^.
Thanks for this Powder...I was alarmed when I read about his "No" vote..
PDW is saying this is the "no tax on tips/overtime" bill.
THIS IS NOT THAT BILL.
I don't know why it's upvoted so highly there. They're better than this.
No they aren’t lol they post fake news all the time.

Massie is the smartest man in the room. If he's voting "no" then there is good reason.
Agreed! (Just like Paul is the smartest man in the Senate, IMHO)
Read the bill.

Foundation set.

I like the 4.5 trillion in tax cuts!
I would've voted No, too. Not enough cuts in some areas and not enough money for our roads and bridges. We need more ATCs.
DOGE seems to have lost some steam, too. I'm sure ther s more easy, fraud, and abuse to find and eliminate.
If Massie is voting "no," then there's something wrong with the bill. Be suspect.
u/EZMojo posted that Massie didn't like the billions added to the budget. Sounds like a Massie thing to do.

Wtf....we need a Balanced budget...and deficit reduction next year ..or we are finished
Massie is an assie
I hate to join downvote Choruses, typically. But in this case, I'm joining. Massie is one of the few who are not bought and paid for by someone.
Republican Congress members and Senators have to be the dumbest sons-of-bitches On the face of the Earth!! Fuck Massie!!

The plan is the deep state is bankrupt, not the United States. We are missing information trump has.
