Not something i would normally do, will likely delete. but i have a prayer request. For my brother. Hes been having black and bloody urine for a few days. Just begged him to see a doctor after he told me. I hope with all my existance it's nothing serious. My family is all i have left these days. The doctors here in WA arent known for competence...

Update: Well my brother is just as stuborn and untrusting as I am and didn't go like I asked him yesterday. Even with our mother and sister (a nurse) all telling him to go to ER. He woke up in "the worst pain I've ever felt" and was rushed to ER this morning about an hour ago. They got him on pain killers and waiting for word from a doctor. I dont really know what to say, honestly didnt think many would see this. But thank you everyone so much for your prayers and kind words, it means a lot to me to see there's still good. I love you all. Wwg1wga!
Initial Labs needed: Urine C & S; BMP; CBC; PSA; PT/PTT Initial Imaging studies needed: CT Abdomen/Pelvis W/Wo Contrast Most likely Urology consultation and hopefully not Nephrology consultation.

I'm not a doctor but I think he needs to see a urologist.
Family member had a similar issue. It was bladder cancer but, since he went in immediately, they caught it early. The tumor was removed during surgery and hadn’t invaded the muscle wall. Then they started him on BCG immunotherapy. He did 6 weeks of BCG treatments initially and had 3 more sets of treatments over the first year. The second year it is 2 sets of treatments (1 a week for 3 weeks) spaced every 6 months. The 3rd year is one set of treatments in that year. They use a catheter to inject a fluid with a weakened virus similar to TB (I think). It takes 30 minutes. Obviously not pleasant but way better than chemo or radiation.

Could he be passing kidney stones? See Dr Darren Schmidt about kidney stones and phosphorus. Also Chanca piedra or “stonebreaker” Dr Berg. Either way better to check w doctor for answers or at minimum a diagnosis.

As far as i know he drinks plenty water, we arent really soda drinking kinda people. Ill say this, he's healthier than i am. Thank you brother, I'm too embarrassed to go there myself but I would be honored and grateful. I love my brother/family more than anything this earthly world can offer. Please have him go to a doctor asap. I will defer to the doctor's decision on next steps, but I would want the tests that HowlerChimp recommends here, and would want a full blood analysis as well. I think a CAT scan of his bladder, ureters, kidneys, liver and pancreas are in order.
