Sounds like they know their place. Greenland is American, it has been for centuries (long story) but most recently since 1941. Greenland was given to the USA as compensation for liberating it from Denmark during WW2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland_in_World_War_II
In Canada, before our douchbag ex-premiere f*cked everything up, the Liberal Party was actually quite conservative. Policies change, but the name tends to stay the same.
OK but instead of this arrangement, why not make Greenland a US territory like Puerto Rico, US Virgin Islands, Guam, etc.?
That would be IMHO more in accord with Trump's statement that "For our own national security and that of the world, the United States considers ownership and control of Greenland an absolute necessity."
An independent Greenland is ripe for takeover. They have no infrastructure, no warfighting force, no equipment, can't do jack crap to defend themselves against a hostile major power. If Greenland is America, then "Make it so, Number 1."
That's what they voted against. They voted for independence to negotiate. A good sign but no one wants to be a US territory. Being a US territory doesn't help the people of Greenland anymore than being the Danish territory they are now. Giving them independence is important to make them a successful partner.
Did anyone mention a thread?🤓

Really? You chose that phrase?

Yes in America dems equal communists
I wish they called it the Demokraken party. They could have a giant octopus for a logo and everything.
Yes, I know Sidney kind of wrecked the whole brand, but it's time to restore it.

Why do I get cold every time I hear “Greenland”?
Temperatures rarely exceed 42 degrees F.

5/6 parties in the last election were pro independence, the only disagreement was the timetable. The winning parties are tracking 3-5 years
Greenland "strategy" similar to Israel strategy?

4/5 of parties this time voted for independence from Denmark: https://100percentfedup.com/breaking-greenlands-election-results-just-changed-everything/
Trump Plan Likely Incudes independence, in thread here.
