Calls and emails to your reps WORK. And they work better than posts on X (though ideally you do both) and dramatically better than kvetching and doing nothing.

Direct emails and calls get the attention of elected officials because they inherently understand that someone was pissed off enough to take the time to write the email or make the call. Doubly so when you threaten to not vote for them or donate to their opponent in the next election.
