This is sooooo sad, but actually true. Our kids are not learning any skill sets in school, they are being indoctrinated into becoming leftie zombies. And they are achieving that goal quite well.
Some of the kids I work with are very bright. Darn near brilliant, except they have that lefty leaning mentality. I don't know if they embrace the left idiology freely or if that's the only way of life they've ever experienced. What is really troubling is one young man who is 17 told me "I don't believe in God". He had a horrible upbringing because his mother abused him, physically beat him around the face and head darn near every day and verbally disparaged him. Yet, he has aspirations to become a phycologist so he can help abused youth. He does not believe in a god or God. Hmmm...I'm going to work on him and maybe somehow God will give me the words to help him see that there is a God and how wonderful a relationship with him can be. I hope God works through me to bring this young man closer to Him.
That’s common for young people I walked away from God myself after I woke up cause I wasn’t mature enough at the time to handle it. I was a full on Anarcho-Capitalist in my early 20’s now I am a Christian Nationalist.
A lot of people don’t understand that God gave us free will. We have the free will to accept or reject him. And we have the free will to commit good or evil.
Hopefully he learns that the actions of his mother were because of his mother and potentially demons not because of God.
Thanks for the kind words, PNW. It helps me understand from where he is "coming from" when talking about God. For whatever reason this kid really likes me. I'm becoming like a father figure to him and we get along very well. Maybe by my inquisitiveness into his background and understanding of his family life I can figure out how to touch his heart so he won't make horrible mistakes in the future. I'm not too worried about his rushing to accept God TOMORROW or something like that, I just want him to figure out that God exists and with Him this young man can have a fabulous life. I wish and hope God works in his life.
If it helps any.. when there’s a man drawn sitting in the clouds, that’s more like “Zeus depicted, but intended to be God”. It’s a false image, and it does seem to create issues for some people.
Whether my take is right or not, tbd, but my understanding is that God is everything - existence, life, agency, and righteousness - but nothing is God. The classical way to know Him is by His principles and His salvific unmerited favor, and the manifestation of His promises. The new way to learn parts of Him, specifically His existence, is by witnessing the spiritual death and rudderless chaos that thrives in His absence.
"The new way to learn parts of Him, specifically His existence, is by witnessing the spiritual death and rudderless chaos that thrives in His absence."
I like this sentence, a lot. Sometimes we need to hit rock bottom before we see the sunlight at the top of the rim. God is always there, waiting patiently for us to see Him, we just need to get over our pride and learn about His love for us.
Get him to read "The Conscious Universe" by that great American scientist Dean Radin. The book will appeal to his intelligence and get him at least halfway there.
I’m very glad to hear you say this. I will pray 🙏 that God will use you mightily in his life. Not only will the words be impactful but that your very life be a testimony as well!
Gen Z and late millennial males are very conservative. Don’t lose hope in all of us.
I keep hearing this but the only conservative millennials I know are in their late 30s and zoomers are either fully leftarded or useless blackpill doomers.
They just question Trump about Israel. Many Gen Z are becoming hard core Christian. You have to remember most people aren’t into Q. They just see things on a surface level. Their hearts are in the right place but they don’t have a military grand strategy mindset.

There is a reason cursive was dropped from school - because it is GOOD for your brain!
Google search "effect on the brain from cursive writing" and the AI will even be forced to admit:
Cursive writing activates different, broader neural pathways than typing, leading to benefits like increased electrical activity in the brain, enhanced memory and learning retention, improved fine motor coordination, and a more efficient "reading circuit" for letter perception. The continuous, sensory-rich movements in cursive writing engage multiple brain regions, supporting cognitive development and fostering a more active learning experience compared to keyboarding.
Cognitive & Learning Benefits
Enhanced Memory and Learning: The brain's activity and electrical patterns are more favorable for learning and memory when writing in cursive compared to typing, according to Psychology Today.
"Reading Circuit" Activation: Handwriting, especially cursive, helps recruit the brain's unique "reading circuit" for letter processing, which is not activated by typing, according to a National Institutes of Health (NIH) study.
Improved Word Recognition and Recall: Cursive writing helps with the recognition and memory of words, notes NPR.
Motor Skills & Sensory Integration
Fine Motor Control:
Cursive writing requires precise coordination between the motor and visual systems, which helps develop fine motor skills and strengthens the connection between movement and visual/conceptual recognition.
Multi-Sensory Engagement:
The process involves a rich combination of visual, tactile, and kinesthetic feedback, creating a more active and engaging sensory experience that stimulates the brain.
Brain Activity Patterns
Broader Brain Activation:
Cursive writing activates a wider network of brain regions involved in motor, sensory, and cognitive processing compared to the more passive engagement of typing.
Functional Specialization:
The fluid and continuous movements of cursive train the brain for functional specialization and integration, which is crucial for optimal learning efficiency
Very welcome! If you're interested in learning more research "handwriting analysis" which is based on seeing how someone writes in cursive. It really gives you a lot of info about them once you learn how to read it. Little things like the slant of letters, the size of characters and loops, etc. are all clues to the person's inner thought process.
Luckily there are still a few schools that teach it a bit in elementary. Unfortunately it is only the basics. I have been working with my children to learn how to read & write cursive.
The school my children attend make it clear that the youth need to at least be exposed to cursive so they can understand historical documents in their original edition.
I am still working with them on teaching all children how to write their print with cursive tails so that they can more easily learn to write it correctly in cursive. My youngest has such a hard time because the teachers never taught any writing techniques.
I remember spending at least 3 days during first grade writing every single letter in a semi cursive manner. Two per letter & we moved on to the next. Writing & practicing proper writing habits so that cursive would be easy by 4th grade. Once we got through Z we started all over to make sure we spend a full day on each letter doing it the correct way to make cursive easier later on.
That’s exactly right, they don’t know how to read cursive, I did that as a guest teacher and I couldn’t believe it until the kids told me what was that? I told them it is cursive, they didn’t understand it.

A psychologist? Don't let him go down that road, especially one that works with abused youth, the abusive cycle will continue.
Prayers on their way to you for power to change this young mans direction in life.

I’ve seen a lot of relativistic irony focus as well. Very little grounding.
Really, given what they were born into, and what a lot of people allowed them to be programmed with, who can blame them?

Interesting viewpoint. Valid for sure, just one I hadn't pondered.
Yeah Alex I'll take How do you create a generation that CANNOT read the US Constitution, for $500.

Isn't that the truth.
They also can't read an analog clock.
What test will they get when they are old for dementia?
u/#kek
Sh;t, I'd fail that one. I don't even know what it means.
just found that out. only digital clocks
Yes.

The Simpsons did a take on this in an episode when Bart was in a new school and was asked to read cursive. https://www.reddit.com/r/AskAnAmerican/comments/65jw2x/theres_an_episode_of_the_simpsons_that_shows_bart/
Apologies for the Reddit link.
Some mighty fine hand writing you have there.
Mine has degraded to prescription level piss poor.
great information. Thank you

They stopped teaching it because all of our founding documents are in cursive.

Put em in the 1776 cursive (;
Exactly.
I know cursive.
Reading the constitution is still very difficult. It’s so flowery.

laughs in ai-ocr
Tbh they have an image to text translator for that
No cursive writing? Means no cursive reading. They don't want us to read our own founding and historical documents.
This can be used to confuse AI spybots as well.
Psst - the "m" in "my" is actually a cursive "n". The "m" in "them" is correct.
I like the meme though - very much.
Well spotted.
