Not necessarily. Older generations yeah, they are your typical boomer era Democrats, but the younger generations of priests and nuns seem to be leaning heavily conservative, just like the younger generations in general (specifically boys and men).
The Priesthood was intentionally and evilly infiltrated by reprobates to destroy their most powerful enemy -- the Catholic laity and their relationship with Jesus.
Most of the Church hierarchy has always been filled by less than Holy men whose sole motivation was power over others. All churches, all denominations, all religions are the same. There is a total disconnect between the laity and the hierarchy. Power and control is the motivation.
I am pretty sure that it is the other way around. But the left has made a concerted effort to infiltrate the Catholic Church to damage it. They have also infiltrated other churches as well. It may seem against our way, but they need to be rooted out and rendered persona non grata.
Those are mostly the priests and nuns who grew up with only Vatican 2 doctrine and are full supporters of that. New reports have come out that the vast majority of younger priests and nuns are heavily conservative and support the Latin Mass and going back to tradition. This is hope yet! The younger generations are not totally lost!
The majority of regular priests are mostly conservative, the higher ups (Bishops, Cardinals, and the Pope) are not. It's been a long infiltration process by evil powers in the world.
Read Taylor Marshall's book "Infiltration: The Plot to Destroy the Church from Within." Absolutely enlightening.
You are so right. The people who make it to Bishop, Cardinal and Pope are not the good guys. Politics in the Catholic religion is not a new thing. Our Bishop has removed 19 priests in our region because they dared to gather during covid or do traditional Latin mass.
That book is amazing. I learned so much about the history of the Church that had never been taught to me before, even after attending Catholic private schools literally from kindergarten through college.
This goes much farther back than just Democrats. These forces coopted the Church all the way back to the last days of the Roman Empire. The Roman elite simply took over when the fall of the Empire, as it had been for centuries, became a foregone conclusion. These elites have been in control of the Roman Church ever since.
Jerusalem had been the center of the Jesus movement since the first days after the resurrection. There was no other central authority in the Church until after Jerusalem had fallen. There were several players on the board: Ephesus, where John based his apostolate in Asia Minor; Antioch, where Paul had launched his ministry and where Irenaeus became a prominent bishop; Israel and Trans Jordan where there were still pockets of Jewish believers from the Jerusalem Church after the destruction. Some were family members of Jesus; Rome, that had large communities of believers - many which had escaped the ravages of war and other calamities. Despite the Roman persecutions, they thrived. All of these groups claimed Apostolic tradition and authority.
After the death of John, his disciple Polycarp became the bishop of John's apostolate in Ephesus. After the martyrdom of Polycarp, Ephesus lost its weight and influence. About the time of the 2nd Jewish Revolt, Antioch was struck with a huge earthquake that pretty much took them out of play. The bishop of Antioch, Irenaeus, was sent to Rome to meet his martyrdom. The 2nd Jewish Revolt decimated many of the remaining Jewish believers from the Jerusalem community that did not escape. That pretty much left Rome as a de facto center for Christianity at the time.
Over the next couple of hundred years, Christianity became the new force in Rome. Many elites became Christian - some in name only. If you can't beat them, join them. The rest is history. There were many changes to Christianity involving theology and tradition made during these days that are still a part of the Roman Church today, and consequently, the rest of Christianity that inherited them. But, that is a discussion for another time and place.
From my experience even in Seattle no. There are liberal infiltrators especially in the Vatican who are waging war against the traditional Latin mass but the upcoming generation of Priests are overwhelmingly conservative.
FSSP and SSPX. Fraternity order of St Peter and Fraternity order of St Pius X parishes are exploding in popularity.
Pre Vatican II is the way to go, but even they are so wary of politics trying to co-op their position. They're focused on hundreds of years not one political term. If the Q plan happened tomorrow they would be one of the last to sign on. They've been organizing their own for 50 years.
Edit - you don't want to hear what they think about Vance if you support him still. he still refuses to baptize his kids.
Edit - you wouldn't know about it unless you knew modern Indians, but there's a way they prefer to mix religious upbringing when an Indian marries a Christian known as "Hindu Catholic". Basically they relate all the Saints to "corresponding" Hindu gods with somewhat similar sounding geneses to honor the Christian side, but the kids still stay within the Hindu faith and don't get baptized.
Vance converted to Catholicism shortly after the birth of his first child and before the second as a result. Converting to straight Hinduism would have killed his political career.
You're thinking of caste. It's possible for anyone to convert, caste would be determined by vocation and what group accepts you...so Vance would be Brahman from his relationship with his wife's family.
Not my cup of tea, but there's a well worn path to conversion when one spouse is already practicing...especially when the children are being raised Hindu already like Vance's are. Vance also observes a number of Hindu ceremonies with his wife, but just hasn't made a personal declaration. He can still theoretically convert today if he wanted and would be eagerly accepted since he already checks most boxes.
All religions have a way to bring a wealthy, connected foreigner into the fold.
Well yeah, if you haven't been catechized to receive the Eucharist then you aren't allowed to receive it. As Catholics (and you may disagree, that's fine, I'm just stating what Catholics believe) we believe 100% that the Eucharist, through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass transforms/transubstantiates into the Body and Blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. When Christ said, "Take this, and eat, for this IS my Body " He meant it literally. The original word for "eat" in the Greek translation of that verse literally translates to "gnaw" or "to chew," so to physically eat something. If you haven't gone through the rite to receive the Body of our Lord, you cannot receive Him. Meaning you must be baptized and go through the rite of First Holy Communion, which most Catholics go through at around ages 7-9 depending on their readiness, unless you enter into the Church as an adult, then it's whatever age you entered.
Sorry, long explanation!
Anyway, the Latin Mass is not all that common in the US, and has been heavily restricted by the Vatican since the 1960s. Most parishes are not allowed to celebrate Latin Masses unless through special exception. Or if a church is not part of a parish or diocese then they can do whatever they want, typically. Or if a priest holds a private mass (meaning he doesn't publicize it) he can celebrate in Latin and people are allowed to attend, but it can't be "advertised."
The Latin Mass has an extremely long history and it's quite interesting to read up on if you're curious, and I highly recommend, because at the very least you're learning about religious history that the seculars of the world want you to forget.
Again, sorry, long explanation! If you have any other questions feel free to ask and I can try to answer them as best I can! God bless my brother/sister in Christ!
in my faith, you bypass the human and can go directly to God through his Son without any rite of human rituals. that is crazy that you cannot go directly to God or even talk to Jesus without a permission slip from man.
Yes.
As a retired Catholic, my beliefs in this regard are similar.
All done with religion, dogma and rituals. No graven images, trinkets or "relics"...
Some of us no longer have the luxury of all the ritualistic nonsense that never gets to the point...
If Christ said, "The kingdom of God is within you."; and "meet me in the upper rooms of the temple built without human hands" [sic] - Then all that religion nonsense is a waste of time as it won't bring you to TRUE COMMUNION with the Christ.
Some believe they need it. I believe they're just wasting time. But they're free to do what they want...as am I.
YMMV.
Some attend just for the social aspect. Some out of guilt because they're convinced they should... These are not good reasons. Communion with God is a very private and personal thing.
While you enjoy your beef and beer in the church basement. I'm going into to God's house for a while...in the temple built without human hands... just like the Christ instructed us to do.
1 Corinthians 11:29 - St. Paul says clearly, "For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself." Read the Fathers of the Church from the first centuries. All kinds of ritual going on from day one.
Exactly. He had a personal invitation from Christ Himself, so no trappings, no baptism.
HOWEVER, plenty before and after this does talk about baptism and how the Holy Spirit will influence your life. Jesus even insisted on being baptized. Does that change who he was? No, but it is an example that you ignore at your own peril.
Personnally I believe the example given at the crucifixion should not be viewed as the rule, but actually the exception. Jesus Himself talked to the thief, and extended that personal invitation.
Ultimately God sets the rules, we follow the examples.
The thief didn’t have time for the sacraments and was saved by Jesus himself in his physical form. Something that the rest of us will never experience.
The good thief is a very special case, dying next to Our Lord Himself. For the vast majority (all the other believers), the early church had definite rituals.
There is so much wrong here, i dont have time to unpack.
The way to salvation is through Jesus, and faith in him.
That's it. Ultimately, luthor left the halls of Cathol to start the reformation because of the trappings and dogma of the Catholic Church.
Baptism is important but not required under special circumstance (better to do so, why gamble with salvation?) The Holy Spirit decends upon a heart open to Christ, and will direct you to where God wants you.
Don't get all wrapped up in what Hollywood or the secular world tells you what religion is. Don't follow religion, follow Christ.
John 20:19-23 Jesus literally commands His disciples (who are the new line of priests) through the gift of the Holy Spirit to forgive or retain sins themselves. Meaning people were to come confess their sins to them, the disciples/priests, and if they forgave the sins they were forgiven, etc. Subsequent priests have been initiated down the line since the time of the Apostles.
Jesus Appears to His Disciples
19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.
21 Again Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I AM SENDING YOU.” 22 And with that he breathed on them and said, “RECEIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT. 23 IF YOU FORGIVE ANYONE'S SINS, THEY ARE FORGIVEN; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.”
It's not man/the priest forgiving the sins, they're doing it "in persona Christi" meaning "in the person of Christ" meaning it's a priestly function.
Christ died for our sins, yes, but He also died to tear the veil between Heaven and Earth so that humans could finally attain Heaven. Before Christ's death any holy or saintly people, like who you mentioned, who died where waiting in a place called "Abraham's Bosom" or "Sheol" which was kind of like limbo. This is in the Bible, you can check me on this. When Christ died and rose from the dead the veil was torn and souls were finally allowed to enter into Heaven. Christ dying for us had many reasons, this was one of them.
I'm sorry you don't like the Church fren, I understand the frustration, but I hope and pray you come to acknowledge your vitriol and learn more about the whole history of the faith. God bless 🙏
Jesus established the One True Church, the Universal Church, the Catholic Church. He didn't establish the Lutheran church, or Episcopal, or Methodist, or Evangelical, and definitely not the Mormon church.
Saint Peter became the first pope. The Catholic Church's roots go all the way back to Peter and Jesus. Lutheran goes to Luther, etc.
Oh, but He founded the Lutheran church or Episcopal, right?
Catholics don't worship Mary. I've heard this "gotcha" a million times. Worship is Latria, but to Mary we give respect which is Hyperdulia. Even Jesus respected His mother, we follow what He did. Would Jesus throw his mother to the wayside? That's what you do when you don't even recognize her significance. Without Mary's "yes" to God in accepting to become the Mother of Jesus, we would have no Jesus. She is very important in the history of salvation.
There are are 3 types of honor that are due to those who are holy:
Dulia. This is the honor and recognition which we accord to the saints. Perhaps they died as martyrs rather than deny God; or they worked great miracles, since their friendship with God meant that He granted their prayers for healing or restoration; or they simply, as Therese of Lisieux, lived holiness in their own “little way.”
Hyperdulia. This is, to put it simply, lots and lots of dulia. This is the very special honor we accord to Mary, the Mother of God.
Latria. This is true worship, and is given only to God. St. Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church, writing in his Summa Theologiae (II-II, q. 103, a. 4; III, q. 25, a. 5), explained:
”In more technical terms used by the Tradition to draw this important distinction, devotion to Mary belongs to the veneration of dulia, or the homage and honor owed to the saints, both angelic and human in heaven, and not to latria, or the adoration and worship that can be given only to the Triune God and the Son incarnate. Because of her unique relationship to Christ in salvation history, however, the special degree of devotion due to Mary has traditionally been called hyperdulia. While latria is owed to her Son by reason of unity of his divine and human natures in the Person of the Word made flesh, hyperdulia is due to Mary as truly his Mother.”
You're right, Mary is not "divine" but she is very, very holy.
As to whether Jesus founded the Catholic Church or not, here are some points to consider:
In concert with His redemptive act, Jesus did three things that established the framework of His Church. First, He chose humans to carry out His work. He appointed Peter to be the visible head of the Church. Jesus said to Peter, "You are Rock and on this rock I will build my Church." (Matthew 16: 18) Jesus said "build," as in to create a structure. Jesus built His structure on specifically chosen human beings Peter and the apostles.
Second, Jesus gave Peter and the apostles the power and authority to carry out His work. "Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven."(Matthew 16:19; 18:18) "Receive the Holy Spirit, whose sins you forgive, they are forgiven, whose sins you retain, they are retained."(John 20:23)
Third, Jesus gave Peter and the apostles commands as to what that work should be. At the last supper, He commanded, "Do this in memory of Me." (Luke 22:19) He commanded them to "Make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), and to "Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature." (Mark 16:15)
Here is the link to the article in case you actually want to set aside your hatred for Catholicism and Catholics. I'm praying for you fren, be well. 🙏
Love your username my friend. God bless you always, and may our Blessed Mother always point you to our Lord and Savior Jesus! Till we are singing His praises in Heaven
Catholic doctrine states that nations can have borders but illegals need to be treated humanely in the process of deportation. The Marxist infiltrators will try to bend that to their definition.
Conservative Cardinals like Sarah and Burke absolutely do not believe in open borders.
YOU are absolutely correct...this one line:
"The Marxist infiltrators will try to bend that to their definition." is EXACTLY WHAT THE LEFTIES ARE GOING ON and they will loose in the courts and in the court of public opinion!!!!!!!!
NO one wants to have these infiltrators in this country to harm their children, make them sex toys and so forth and so on!!!!!!!
As a Catholic, this new Pope is just as bad as the last and is the same in every way except the name. He should have called himself Francis II because that's what he's become.
Deportation is even supported by the Bible. Sure we can try to be as humane as possible, especially in regards to the less volatile ones, but if they fight back when being removed then all possibility of "niceness" should be thrown out the window. Just get the animals out and move on. We're so done with this.
As someone who is converting I really wanted Cardinal Sarah to be Pope.
After losing my job I prayed the Rosary super hard and deep. Just begging God to help me find purpose then next day my wife told me she was pregnant.
Also someone on Reddit told me that “your saint will find you” I was just like “okay whatever lol”. Then I was reading some St Augustine and found out we share a birthday and he is the patron saint of brewers and has the same degenerate to fierce follower of Christ story that I do!
The Catholic faith is beautiful. I cannot wait to be confirmed and to receive the holy Eucharist. When I was Protestant I knew nothing about the sacraments and why they are so important.
But now you'll have "Muslim Rugs" as well as sacraments, as you wait to be confirmed, but be careful you don't trip over them. Another. newly converted catholic, Candace Owens, as does your pope say that Islam is a "true faith", and Muslim rugs and sacraments are the way to heaven. BLOOD of Jesus is the ONLY way.
Edit: I hope God blesses you with a new job, especially before your baby arrives. God bless
Candace has completely lost the plot and does NOT represent Catholics in any way. Sometimes bad or crazy people can say they "have the faith" but do not.
We've had plenty of horrible and heretical popes in the past, and sadly it will continue because humans are sinful, broken creatures. Thankfully, the majority of our popes have been either uneventful or extremely holy and have written some of the greatest works of humanity.
Fren, I am so touched to read this. I love your story about your beautiful wife and your new baby on the way that you wrote here recently, and all the fellow frens encouraging you that your next job will be awesome. I am so inspired by convert to the Faith, having grown up a cradle Catholic. The Rosary is a powerhouse and a weapon in your arsenal of Faith. Recommendation: Look up Fr. Donald Calloway online, and his story of his conversion "No Turning Back" - it will blow your mind. This guy is a real man's man and on fire with love for Jesus and His Mother. Plus he's a great speaker, look on youtube for some of his talks of the Rosary and his conversion, fascinating! Yes, most definitely St. Augustine found you! And it's true, they really do reach out, I have experienced this as well.
If you are a catholic, .win is the most hateful corner of the Internet. I struggle to reconcile this website which represents 90% of my views, with the fact that any post remotely referencing the church gets brigaded. Even if it is in a positive light.
Not your fault but thank you for sharing this video of a based priest. My parish priest is totally based when it comes to the JQ.
My observation of the state of the church over the past few years is that you have a ton of boomers that came up under VII. They don’t care about the liturgy, like shitty worship music, and are selfish and greedy. And then you have millennials and zoomers that are joining the church in droves and tend to be extremely based. So I have hope for the future.
My guess is that when the pope or some bishop makes some stupid comment that is not binding and does not matter, that it represents the views of the entire church. Most of us are here for Christ and the traditions handed down to us.
I would challenge anyone who sneers at us to attend a Latin mass and not have their heart be moved.
I actually used to church-shop and attended some. The only problem with the Catholic church when I was attending at the time were unfriendly people and they all looked extremely sad. It was depressing to be there.
Yeah, this is a thing. The mass is a sacrifice as it essentially reenacts the last supper. We are focused on Christ’s gifts to us, which helps you meditate on if you are being a good Christian. For example, special days on the liturgical calendar are called “solemnities” because mass tends to be a solemn event. Then we socialize before and after.
That is why Mass doesn’t seem fun or like everybody is happy. But, the positive that you get out of it is you walk out feeling refreshed after receiving the Eucharist, and ready to start your week. And if you have a good priest, some words of wisdom from his homily.
It may seem somewhat bleak but if you understand why we attend mass it might make more sense. I challenge anyone to attend a Latin mass and not have their heart be moved. Hope that helps!
I completely agree, but it's actually better now than it was 5 years ago. If you had even hinted that you were Catholic you were dog piled to no end. Now at least people hear out what you have to say, for the most part, though there are still some Luther worshipers who will hear none of it.
is this from the sspx or something because usually for a few reasons the vatican doesn't allow this I don't think: doesnt it conflict with 501c3 status to do politics from the pulpit like this and secondly the vatican appears to be taken over and not Catholic "in a sense" currently so I've seen them shuffle "priests" who speak like this around like to parishes in the middle of nowhere to silence people who speak like this
Two things: there was a rule change recently allowing churches to get involved in politics. I personally don’t like it because I hear this crap all week and on Sunday I want to understand spirituality, not politics.
Also, you are right that in a diocese with a cucked bishop, they have been known to stick outspoken and based priests in some small town parish to silence them.
And you can't be IN the "Body of Christ" if you're still in the Catholic Church. "Come out of HER my people, lest you share in HER sins, and lest you receive of HER plagues" Revelation 18:4
Not my experience at all, not in the Chicago area. I went to catholic high and college and my kids went to Catholic grade and high school. The lot of them were not even close to conservative.
It amazes me how many present and former Catholic “brothers”, priests, nuns and purported practicing Catholics are pro-abortion, pro-assisted suicide, pro-illegal alien. The satanic “architecture” of the Vatican says it all. The Catholic Church is all about the money. It has found that, acting under the auspices of helping the children and illegal aliens, resulted in a huge money scam from trafficking.
The good and holy bishop Fulton J. Sheen carried out most of his ministry before things got really bad in the current modern Catholic Church. He used to talk about an "ape" of the Church, a fake version to come. We are seeing that now. Pretty soon, those that hold the ancient Faith of our Fathers will not be seen as Catholic anymore, but they are the true believers. Jesus will sort it out.
I’d wager most priest and nuns are Demonrats.
Not necessarily. Older generations yeah, they are your typical boomer era Democrats, but the younger generations of priests and nuns seem to be leaning heavily conservative, just like the younger generations in general (specifically boys and men).
My priest said that a lot of liberals became priests in the 70s and 80s, but the recent ones are very conservative.
The Priesthood was intentionally and evilly infiltrated by reprobates to destroy their most powerful enemy -- the Catholic laity and their relationship with Jesus.

So with the last pope being a commie and this one isn’t much better, you seriously believe the Catholic clergy is conservative?
Yes.
There is politics about the pope. As crazy as it may sound, you can't lump Catholics in with what the pope says.
The vast majority of Catholics ignore the lunacy that comes from the pope.

He’s one of the main podcasts I listen to. Currently reading his new book Christian Patriot. Absolute banger of a book.
I've gotta get my hands on that one too, sounds like good principles!
Do you mean the Dr. Taylor Marshall who is BFF friends with the two Islamic sympathizers, Candace and 'sissy" soy boy Georgie.?
Pretty sure he's not friends with Candace, never heard that before.
Yeah we don’t worship Israel.

Achieve a "higher state of fk it" and not care what they think.
Moronic thoughts, ideas and manners are not exclusively reserved for democrats, commies and satanists. as redundant as that sounds...

That is the start.
God bless 🙏
Okay? I wasn't yelling at you. You seem to have some long seated hatred of Catholics and the Church. I'm praying for you fren. 🙏
No He didn’t. The Catholic Church is not the church of Jesus. And nowhere do you see Jesus promoting worship of His mother. Mary was not divine.

What? Why?
Because he finally saw Sister Act and thinks Goldberg is representative....
Howls.
Good one!
Because they have bought into the religion of social justice and critical theory instead of Biblical principles of godliness.
AMEN
Tired of the lukewarm.... lets set the world ablaze my fellow Catholics
Absolutely! Amen my fellow fren Catholic!
Love your username my friend. God bless you always, and may our Blessed Mother always point you to our Lord and Savior Jesus! Till we are singing His praises in Heaven
Thanks fren, I love yours too! Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us!

Sounds good!
Sure love it.
suprising that when baptized they didnt just hold me under water or waterboard me
LOL
He needs to give this speech at my Catholic Church. As much as love my rural Catholic church there are a few people who need to hear his words
Just download and play.
A while back, I remember Catholic were saying you cannot be MAGA because of deportation. The pope said that. How things have changed.
Catholic doctrine states that nations can have borders but illegals need to be treated humanely in the process of deportation. The Marxist infiltrators will try to bend that to their definition.
Conservative Cardinals like Sarah and Burke absolutely do not believe in open borders.
YOU are absolutely correct...this one line: "The Marxist infiltrators will try to bend that to their definition." is EXACTLY WHAT THE LEFTIES ARE GOING ON and they will loose in the courts and in the court of public opinion!!!!!!!!
NO one wants to have these infiltrators in this country to harm their children, make them sex toys and so forth and so on!!!!!!!
Amen.
Archbishop Vigano
Yes. That one is good.
I am on fire for the Catholic faith!
God bless fren! I'm praying for your journey into the faith!
They both bad. I just hope the next one is not the Anti-Christ like what the 7th Day Adventist believe.
Yeah, there is politics about the pope. As crazy as it may sound, you can't lump Catholics in with what the pope says.
The vast majority of Catholics ignore the lunacy that comes from the pope.
Got you.
I was gonna say, What would the Pope say about that?
Don't know.
If you are a catholic, .win is the most hateful corner of the Internet. I struggle to reconcile this website which represents 90% of my views, with the fact that any post remotely referencing the church gets brigaded. Even if it is in a positive light.
I am sorry.
Knowing Christ should make a person very joyful though
I agree.
Uh yeah, wrong church, these dykes playing dress up are all episcopal or Anglican. LOL
I wouldn't know.
Charlie agreed.
Amen.
And you can't be IN the "Body of Christ" if you're still in the Catholic Church. "Come out of HER my people, lest you share in HER sins, and lest you receive of HER plagues" Revelation 18:4
I am not in Catholic church. I know some who have left also.
The "Her" referenced here is the nation of Babylon. This is easy to understand.
Not my experience at all, not in the Chicago area. I went to catholic high and college and my kids went to Catholic grade and high school. The lot of them were not even close to conservative.
Any idea why?
It amazes me how many present and former Catholic “brothers”, priests, nuns and purported practicing Catholics are pro-abortion, pro-assisted suicide, pro-illegal alien. The satanic “architecture” of the Vatican says it all. The Catholic Church is all about the money. It has found that, acting under the auspices of helping the children and illegal aliens, resulted in a huge money scam from trafficking.
Do you know why? Are they just rebellious?
No, I have no clue. I do know they were all pushed to take the Covid shot and boosters too.
Nope completely illegal
https://grok.com/share/bGVnYWN5_55dcfa29-5a23-47d8-83a7-2d08b06d9f19
I understand it is illegal, but there's been meddling before also.
Well Duh!
LOL
Right! And this POPE IS CRAZY LEFT.
demon possessed.
