Here’s a sample of things Trump has said or done over the past few years that made me raise an eyebrow:

  1. His public support of the vaccine

  2. His seeming coziness with Israel

  3. His comments to Pence on January 6th about doing the right thing even though it’s hard

  4. His previous public feud with Musk right as his DOGE appointment expired

  5. His refusal to completely denounce the H-1B program (despite the $100k fee)

  6. His current public feud with MTG, who has arguably been his most ardent public supporter in all of Congress during her tenure

Here’s where I’m at with all of that:

We don’t have to line up with everything Trump says publicly in order to support him. We can easily question or even disagree with what he says and does publicly and still trust the strategy he’s employing by choosing to say or do it.

I’ve come to trust Trump absolutely over the past 9 years. He has proven too many times over too long a period that when he says something I disagree with either:

A. He ends up being right because he knew stuff that I wasn’t privy to

Or

B. He didn’t actually believe what he said, and clearly only said what he said for a tactical reason that wasn’t immediately apparent

Q has helped me get this. Disinformation is NECESSARY in this kind of war.

Where you are weak, it can be wise to make yourself appear to be strong.

Where you are strong it can often benefit you to appear to be weak.

When you are united it sometimes makes sense to appear divided.

I no longer sweat what Trump does or says publicly when on the surface I tend to disagree with it.

I don’t get mad at him for it, nor do I immediately accept it at face value.

I trust the why of Trump.

He’s more than earned that kind of trust at this point if you ask me. He manipulates the narrative strategically at every turn. He’s always playing a deeper game than his surface comments suggest.

We know what he stands for.

We know who he’s fighting for.

We know who he’s fighting against.

I just enjoy the show at this point because it’s obvious to me that he’s always playing chess instead of checkers.

If you’re in love with political checkers this site isn’t for you. You’d be much happier at PDW where the sky is always falling unless Trump says and does everything you would say or do if you were in the White House and/or every media outlet is admitting “our side” got a win.

If you’re going to take every single thing Trump says and does that you would normally disagree with and immediately change your opinion on the subject because he’s the leader of the party and you want to be a good little Republican soldier, or if you lose your mind and denounce him as an Israeli-controlled traitor every time that happens instead, I don’t believe you’ve understood what most of us on this site do, you’ve completely missed the whole point of Q or simply don’t believe it was what we here think it was, and you’d be much happier at PDW than you are here.

Here we watch the news too…but we wait before we react to it.

“Remember the 72 hour rule” is a beautiful and wildly helpful refrain that gets used here a lot (but sometimes not enough) by those who DO get it on this site. That initial period is essential for feeling out the situation and asking questions like “What could I be missing here that isn’t immediately obvious? What could the silver lining be? How might this actually be a good thing or part of a larger strategy?”

Asking those questions to ourselves, doing some research, and discussing our theories with one another in order to flesh them out and refine them before joining the chorus of outrage or mindless support of Trump that PDW engages in is what has allowed so many of us on this site to keep our sanity and optimism over the last 5 years since Trump “lost” the 2020 election, was shot at multiple times, and then retook the White House earlier this year. It’s what makes this place special and valuable.

Showing up with shallow takes and trying to wake us all up from what you see as a delusional stupor and recruit us to your army of outrage or join your imaginary basement Rambo militia to talk tough and carry out imaginary acts of patriotic violence to replenish the tree of liberty is pointless.

On this site, we think.

A lot.

We know what’s at stake and we’re not doing nothing, as you love to suggest.

We stay calm, we make sense of things, and we help disseminate meaning in a positive and helpful way in the face of seemingly bad or otherwise confusing news to each other and everyone we come into contact with in the real world.

We are not afraid to fight. We just realize what kind of fight this is, where it’s taking place, and choose to engage with it in the most effective and appropriate manner given where we are and where the world is at in this particular moment.

If a time ever comes where taking up arms is necessary, and our enemy is clear, nobody here will shy away from that moment. If Trump ever definitively proves he can’t be trusted, we here will not fail to admit that.

But this is not that moment, the enemy and the threat it poses is not yet clear enough to warrant kinetic action on our part, and up until this point, Trump has done more than enough to earn our trust and has in no way proven himself a traitor worth abandoning.

So if you’re here to doom, rage bait, or demand we join your imaginary militia, kindly see yourself out because this REALLY isn’t the place for you.

Here we peddle in truth and in faith. And we acknowledge that sometimes those things are hard to find.

NCSWIC.
