I've noticed a lot of nice sounding charities advertising for money lately. More than when Biden was in office (it was mostly big pharma then). Makes me think most of them are tied to the NGOs suddenly losing their funding.

IMO (and deep research) Catholicism (the System not the people) is not Christian. There are hundreds if not thousands of examples over the Centuries. For an eye popping example just research the Jesuit Order (and other Orders too but Jesuit is the worst… read their oath, it part of the Congressional record).
Many Protestant Orgs, are similar but many are focused on the Cross and Salvation thru Grace.
Christianity is a PERSONAL relationship with God (God became man). There is NO need for an intermediary at all Zero. His sacrifice provides an escape hatch from sin and the evil of this world, all that is needed is a confession of belief and following His commandments and teachings.
Im convinced that many these “religious leaders” are like the crooked politicians and Hollywood (etc). Blackmailed and/or promised wealth and fame to infiltrate and lead astray.

The catholic charities is an NGO that serves each diocese where there is a chapter. However the moving about of migrants into this country done by the national chapter is disgusting.
I am a member and support the Ladies of Charity, and in my community it helps those in need within the diocese and city in which we live with food, clothing, and money assistance for unpaid utility bills. Anyone can come to our door. We have two part time employees, cleaning person and a person to staff the welfare office. We raise money each year to cover everything we need to serve the community. Our membership is about 300 active volunteers. We are all ladies and belong to different catholic churches around the entire diocese. Our two clothing sales fall and spring and one stuff galore sale in the summer this past year raised after expenses almost 300,000 and all donated and run by volunteers.
I was once a LOC and although the local charity work seemed good, I became aware of the corruptness of the national LOC when I served on my local board and had more exposure to the broader operation. What woke me up was a national LOC sponsored online webinar supporting the UN/WHO's promotion of abortion in Africa. On another regional Zoom webinar, they discussed their efforts in supporting illegal aliens. I posted in the chat 'how much money did you receive from the biden admin to aid and abet illegal aliens?' and 'where are the 300,000 missing minors?' and I was immediately kicked out of the call. I will definitely look at the national LOC. We keep to ourselves so I had no idea. There is corruption everywhere and the only thing I know to do is make sure the local group is not . Many of us that are in our LOC left catholic charities behind for the reasons you listed. This world is a mess.
