Well here in California we just got an increase in:
State tax, property tax, income tax, mileage tax, food tax, energy tax, garbage tax, water tax, PG&E caused fire but bill diverted to Citizens tax, weed tax, sales tax, carbon tax, tobacco and alcohol tax, conservative seats removal tax, tax on tax, tax on moving tax, death tax, living tax, homeless tax, drug rehab tax, pay for other State’s Protests and Riots tax, and the tax to cover each of those tax’s tax!

they're only cutting the taxes over many years. It may not reach 0% tax until 2040! Sounds like kicking the can down the road to me!

We have never had an income tax here in NH. We have very high property taxes though in any populated town (mostly school tax).
Same in Texas.
Oddly same in Washington. But they are trying to change that.
Only for the "millionaires" though! But Gov Ferguson probably has his fingers crossed and will lower the threshold before the ink is dry.

Mississippi resident here, They eliminated the income tax, but what they don't tell you is how much they offset it by raising the fuel tax. So we pay the highst fuel tax in the nation and not only that, if you research you'll find that Mississippi has the Highest grocery prices of all 50 states (including Hawaii) and yet we are the poorest state of all 50. Lowest income percapita and highest Grocery and fuel. But, I love this state. Very freedom friendly.
