" A People’s History of the United States" is the history book used in my HS in 1982. Considering it was first published in 1980, looks kinda fishy how it became so prevalent overnight. Almost like it was part of some kind of plot. Even then my history teacher knew it was garbage.

I can prove a bit of slight history manipulation. I noticed in my 1970 edition of Britannica that the article on Niall of the Nine Hostages was pretty long. At the local library, they had the newer Britannica that was divided into Macropedia and Micropedia. The main article on Niall of the Nine Hostages was only half as long. They had left out half of his history, perhaps to save room. Newer encyclopedias would leave out stuff to keep the same number of volumes. When Britannica started in the 1700s, it was a few volumes and increased the number of volumes over the years. I have downloaded many of the older sets so I can compare them. There is no telling how much history is actually just missing to save room. That's why I have multiple complete sets of old encyclopedias and history books. They will probably be all thrown in the trash when I'm gone.
BTW, I won my Britannica set from the local radio station in 1971. My father had to go to the train station to pick it up, as it was shipped by REA (Railway Express Agency). We didn't have FedEx or UPS back then. The good old days.

When going through it, I found that the new one had added new artists and deleted some artists, so I had to keep the photocopies to have access to all the information. I have a lot of photocopied books, and I will always buy a hard copy when I can find one.
I may never read all of my downloaded books, but at least I have a wide choice. I have bought new books based on exposure to the authors in previous downloaded content. I buy all the books I am able to. Books, magazines, records, and tapes are why my home office is packed full of material.
More so is the hiding and misinformation of religious archeological findings. The Bible is as much a historical as it is a book of wisdom. There many more biblical archeological findings than most know.
