You canât do anything to defend your castle until he steps in. All you can do is call the police and hope they arrive before he breaks in and you have to shoot.
Is that true? Because he is certainly threatening and with him beating on the door and saying things like he's going to end the guy, the homeowner would have the right to shoot through the door.
I am not a lawyer, but I always heard that unless the person has invaded the house, you do not have the right to shoot/kill. I could be wrong. I just looked up the Castle Doctrine. Depending on the state in which you reside you can defend yor home or property if a FELONY is occurring: Stand you ground. In some states you have a DUTY to RETREAT.
It would take a couple gallons of paint to cover up my response.
Like extra food and a generator, you should always have some on hand.
