As a practicing Catholic I am saddened by how much the church has changed. Borderline socialism and hypocrisy. They can blast our President for a meme but what about ignoring the murders of Iranian citizens by the regime. What about Priests abuses and protection by the church.
Need to reevaluate their stance. Sorry if offended just my observation.

About a year ago I attended a Catholic wedding. All around the perimeter of what they call the Nave (basically where the people sit) were a series of large dioramas on the walls depicting the life of Jesus. The first one was Him as a baby but even in that one and in all the rest of them He was depicted as terrified and helpless. The last one was the outside of the tomb with the stone still in place. I felt like the only one in the whole building who noticed and was disturbed by the obvious symbolism.
After the ceremony I was part of a group that was waiting at the back of the church. There was a life-size statue (full color not just bronze) of what I presume was a famous cardinal or something. His eyes literally looked demon possessed and the whole statue seemed to ooze dark spiritual energy.
Too many people IMO go through life choosing to be mindless zombies instead of noticing what is right in front of them.
I actually attended a Catholic school in 1959-1960, back when mass was in Latin. There was mass every day before school. I went once, but it was in Latin, so I didn't see the point. There was a crucifix, but they concentrated on Mary. We had to memorize the answers to questions in the catechism. This was in 1st grade. I went to public school after that. I saw some of my classmates again when I was in high school, as they chose that rather than continue in the Catholic high school.
In the 70s and 80s, the priest there was pretty cool. I got copies of some software from him in the 1980s. All bootleg copies of programs and files for the Radio Shack Color Computer. He made the copies right in his church office.
Why would the Vatican not look the other way? Pius XII looked the other way from 1939 until 1958. Pius XI looked the other way from 1922 to 1938. It's what the Holy See does best.
