Reminds me of a piece of advice I heard a retired Intel guy give us during a class he taught. As it was relayed to him from the guy who taught him.
“You aren’t anywhere near as attractive as you think you are. You also aren’t anywhere near as rich as the options she could have. If she’s a 10 and she’s hitting on or dating you. She’s fishing for information.”
I rather think the guys think / know they aren't in her league and the info she's fishing for might be enough to impress her when the rest of his package does not.
Yup. The stupidity, gullibility, arrogance and/or ignorance of these guys is entertaining to behold.
One would think that by the time a guy reaches this guy's age, he'd know that allowing the little head to "drive the car" very often gets one in trouble because the little head is no genius and - regardless the risk or cost - it's totally focused on achieving his sole purpose in life.
These tech heads generally haven't had a girlfriend anytime in their lives, so when a good looking chick shows interest, well, they just go wild and do anything the girls asks.

I'm thinking "whats her angle" then she's says "wanna go get a drink". No thanks. Even if she was just trying to get some free drinks, I just felt like a scam or something.
