I was thinking the same! The Dems will be weeping and gnashing their teeth while we are praying and dedicating our country to Christ. Sad that they suffer so deeply from TDS that they cannot even set their political ideologies aside to join in on something so spectacular and wonderful that is actually benefiting both conservatives and liberals alike.

Resting on the 7th day of the week was indicated by God at creation. It was only codified in the Ten Commandments, which were only given to the Israelites. I hate when someone at church on Sunday calls it the Sabbath, when it absolutely isn't. Saturday is the Sabbath, and has been since creation.
Christians call Sunday "the Lord's day" in the mistaken belief that Jesus arose at dawn on Sunday. The Bible doesn't say that. It says that the women came to the tomb "while it was yet dark" and found it empty. This means that Jesus had arisen, the soldiers had fled, and everything was already quiet. I believe that Jesus rose immediately at the end of the Sabbath, sundown on Saturday.
I do go to church on Sunday, but I also point out the above facts to anyone I can.
BTW, it may be that Sabbath on Saturday and church on Sunday kind of led to what we now call "the weekend" as of about 100 years ago. What cemented it was Henry Ford giving his employees Saturday and Sunday off from work in 1926.

There is no separation of church and state in the Constitution.
But, isn't it built off of court presidents which are long settled based on the constitution?
Roe v. Wade and Plessy v. Ferguson tells us that there are no longer settled opinions from SCOTUS. Separation of church and state was in a letter from President Jefferson to a Baptist church in Connecticut and has been misapplied in American jurist prudence ever since.

Basically how I view that topic is that government should never FORCE people to become Christian but it doesn't mean that the government can't support and lift up Christian things..

Sharia is something Muslims want for whatever town, city, state, nation, they live in. That is why Islam is not compatible with western countries.

The very tenants of their faith say they must force "nonbelievers" to convert to Islam or, if they refuse to convert, to kill them. That is simply not compatible with the Christian foundation of the United States of America.
Plenty of Muslims dont follow that interpretation. Yes they are called to convert people but they don't believe it means you kill them..that is more of a section of Islam.

Whether they follow it or not, it's part of their foundational documents. Do you want to take a chance on whether any individual muslim is going to decide to follow it?

I disagree. You should do some more research on history of the founders. They very much spoke of Jesus and God and allowed those that weren't there yet to follow there way. We are a Christian nation because we are full of Christians and we will share the good news of Jesus. Nobody is forced to follow Jesus. Revival is coming my friend. Look up the original state constitution, look up how they built the constitution and all the times they called for prayer and talked about Jesus. That can't be ignored

The Founders rarely used the name Jesus Christ, but instead referred to the Creator. It may have been a cultural thing then, but living in a Christian type government was their goal.
