I dunno what to think about this particular event. I could say shit happens and move on, and I don't want to live in a "show me your papers" country, and if they are targeted raids then yea, this doesn't make lot of sense. Article said they received tips or complaints and went there. Idk, more details or a press release from ICE would be helpful.
Gotcha. Usually the link is embedded and I don't have to even open the thread, it just shows the twitter post. Sometimes it glitches and I have to open it. Now the ones that are a text post with just a link to a tweet, that's as annoying as the kamala kackle
You can post the x link. It'll show up. I'm not an X member either. You are not censored. Mods just went on a cleaning spree for a minute there. I'm not sure that if you did post again with the link that they would let it stay. It's an interesting little note but it's something I personally wouldn't make a post about but you do you fren!
https://www.senate.gov/legislative/HowTo/how_to_votes.htm says "All voting in Congress is a matter of public record."
Liberal rag says "Nothing in the Constitution requires that Senate confirmations to executive agencies be public. That’s a Senate rule. Senate rules can be changed at the start of the term."
So... I dunno. I'm having trouble finding a solid answer on this one.
The vote for Tulsi Gabbard might be done privately in a SCIF - with the vote tallies kept secret from the American people.
The GOP-controlled Senate may be poised to sink Tulsi Gabbard’s confirmation for Director of National Intelligence (DNI) without an outside soul knowing how they voted.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Senator Susan Collins (RINO-ME) may derail Gabbard’s confirmation as DNI due to concerns about Gabbard’s stance on Section 702 of the FISA which gives government permission to spy on supposed foreign targets without a warrant.
Gabbard previously proposed legislation to repeal section 702 due to the government violating the Fourth Amendment by abusing the warrantless spying program to spy on American citizens. She has since tried to reassure senators on the matter.
As a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee, Collins holds considerable power. Gabbard cannot afford to lose one GOP defector since the vote is split along party lines at 9-8.
Not to be harsh but that's a silly hill to die on. It's ok to have a different opinion than somebody else. Healthy debate is fine, arguing and tearing shit apart over something this menial, no. Go make things right. Communication and an open mind are your friends in this situation.
That's disturbing. It's still hard for me to imagine that there are people out there like that and institutions that give those ppl a job in a position to do such things. I was actually laughing when I made my comment thinking about some of the things I've done to them and it was really all just in the name of fun (for me) but dang.. now it's not so funny.
Yep, I thought the same thing
