I’ve had some very good conversations with CHAT GPT about retirement planning. It gave me his advice. I felt as good as anything. I could’ve paid for out of a retirement planner. You have to look at what it’s telling you and verify that it’s common sense whenever I question something I bounced it off of a different AI and got the same basic answer. I used it to create a Will, which I then had a lawyer review. I’ve used it for years to do performance reviews it’s great at taking a paragraph and proofreading it and improving it. I’ve used it to review some mechanical engineering issues at work, which I then had verified by a human engineer and got the same answer. All I can say is if you haven’t started to use it start now. It is here to stay, and it will only get better.
Welcome to Minnesota. The state gets its shit together about once every 12 years and elects a republican governor. I think we’re about due now for that new cycle to start.
People get so worked up with property taxes. They shouldn’t call a property tax. They should call it a County City Township school district tax I don’t like the fact that in most jurisdiction it’s based on the value of your home, that is just a wealth redistribution tax, Or luxury tax. I realize you have to pay for City services, County service services and even your school district, but it should be based on how your house impacts your community. So if they do away with property taxes, how are the county city Township or school district going to get their money? Is it just gonna come back through some other fee?
What we have to pay for medical is a crime. The problem is if you don’t have it, you can get wiped out pretty damn fast with a major problem.
Do these people ever clean their machines? Run vinegar through them periodically. Wash the plastic tank. Been using one for years, never got sick… did the same people ever clean off the bottom of their faucet aerator?
I have had some interesting arguments with AI because they always base all of their information on “studies”, it goes to show you that it doesn’t take much to skew.
It will be interesting to see how long it will take gas prices to drop once oil prices plunge. Oil companies are still gouging the consumer, I know it’s based on market but still seems criminal. Average American votes based on their wallet, needs to drop fast before November and to a level below the previous low.
I want to see California become a red state in a presidential election. That would be something.
It will be a tough one to get through unless the Republicans can all come together.
Ironically, I have been asking AI, financial planning related questions regarding retirement, Social Security, etc., and I’ve used several different ones for comparison, and ironically, it gives me some pretty sound advice that doesn’t cost me anything from a financial planner. Whether we like it or not AI is here to stay, but you just need to use your judgement wisely.
Simple. AI. It’s growing at an exponential rate it’s starting to create its own updates. I always tell people that freak out about it if they don’t like it, put your phone down, move to the woods. Technology has been exponentially increasing for a very long time. We are on the upward swing until we can get free energy, our current technology is going to suck hard on our 1900s electrical technology
And I wouldn’t doubt that information is fed back to the manufacturer, who collects that data and then sells it to insurance companies. Talk about surveillance.

I know of one being built here in Minnesota, they will consume a lot of power, but they won’t use a lot of water because they’re not using cooling towers. They are using what called dry coolers, dry. Coolers are more expensive to run than water, cool cooling towers, but they will not use any water. So it really comes down to electrical consumption. Anytime I hear somebody bitching about a data center. I just tell them fine. Put your phone down.
