Our county gov (second smallest county in The shithole of calirado) bought/acquired thousands of nose swab tests. Still hundreds of those the fire dept got sitting in a cabinet at the fire station.
I can’t imagine how many are sitting in other agencies cabinets, have been thrown out, etc.

Same goes for fire dept business managers. I was the admin chiefs asst for a year and was just now let go because I didn’t kiss her ass. I tried improving processes, saving cost, etc and she killed every idea I had.
She wastes 1/2 her time, doesn’t need an asst and has everyone under her thumb. And the chief needs a pair of balls as my wife says and he does nothing cause he’s afraid of her.
