The Scripture distinguishes Noah from his generation in Genesis 6. It doesn't do that with Abram when he was called by God. It numbers his family among the idol worshippers. Unless you have a reference I haven't seen anywhere, there is nothing that says Abram was any different from anyone else in his family and city until God appeared to him. That is to put something in that isn't in Scripture, Yes, in James 2:21, by faith A. offered up Isaac, but that was many years after he was called and believed God. Heb. 11:8 shows that God came in and called, and then Abraham obeyed. Faith is the gift of God. I agree we're at an impasse. Bye.
You're reaching. It says that God told the children of Israel, "YOUR FATHERS...served other gods." There is nowhere that says, "except Abram." They worshipped in families. It was God that made the difference. "Not out of works in righteousness which we did, but according to His mercy He saved us (Tit. 3:5)." God didn't choose him because he was righteous. He was accounted righteous because he believed God (Gen. 15:6; Rom. 4:3; Gal. 3:6-9; Heb. 11:8)." God came first, then faith, then righteousness.

I disagree with you on 2 points: 1. Based on Joshua 24:2, I still maintain that Abram and fam were idol worshippers, no different from the city of idol worshippers in which they lived. God called Abram, not because Abram was anything different, but because of His mercy and His will. Faith, which is a gift of God, was infused into Abram through that contact. It was after this that Abram is referred to, eventually, as a friend of God. And 2. The promise to Abraham HAS been fulfilled according to Galatians 3:14. The Blessing of Abraham, is the promise of the Spirit which we receive through faith. The covenant God made with Abraham (v. 17) for a Seed and the Land are fulfilled in Christ in resurrection. Christ is the promised Seed (v. 16), and Christ as the Spirit is the land (Col. 1:12-14). According to the New Covenant prophesied (in various places) in Ez.36:27, God says, "I will put My Spirit within you." This is the covenant of which Christ, in resurrection, is now the mediator (Heb. 8:6). The blessing of Abraham is God Himself.
Bravo! So, my take on the 3 spheres: Elves = the religious world. The Pope is definitely captured (under the power of the ring), and most religious organizations have been infiltrated and owned. The Orks used to be Elves. The Dwarves = the criminal underworld, always greedy for more and that brings in the dragon. The world of Men = the world we see of business and politics.

Read the Bible. It's an interesting read. In Genesis, the first book, God called Abraham out of idolatry and joined Himself in an eternal covenant with Abraham and his seed. Abraham had Isaac. Isaac had Jacob, and Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel, had 12 sons, which became 12 tribes, which became the nation of Israel. God rescued these tribes out of slavery in Egypt, gave them the Law, the 10 Commandments, with statures and ordinances, and planted them in them in the land of Canaan. It became known as the land of Israel. That is the first Abrahamic religion. Through the tribe of Judah, Christ came to take away the sin of the world, so that they could receive the promise of the Spirit, which the apostle Paul showed is the real blessing given to Abraham. This was a fulfillment and a turn away from the Old Testament covenant to the New Covenant that was prophesied several places in the O.T. Christianity is the result of the New Covenant. Its source was Abraham, so that's the 2nd Abrahamic religion. Then Islam came late to the party. It borrowed from both the O.T. and N.T. So, that's the 3rd Abrahamic religion.
See, they know why the the founding fathers acknowledged the people's right to keep and bear arms. A "call to arms" is for when the government becomes a "tyranny." Lightfoot doesn't want any competition for their tyranny.

Institutions are not collaborators. They are like cars, guns, and political parties. They are just vehicles. It's the people involved that determine whether the vehicle is benevolent or malignant. They are the ones that should be held to account, in such a public, humiliating, and punishing way, that NO ONE operating the vehicle would ever abuse their authority and position again.
