I feel this may be a little relevant to this situation and just wanted to put it out there.

I’m an accounting student. I learned that AICPA (the group that manages, you know, CPA eligibility) is going to begin allowing people in India and the Philippines to sit for the exam. Before, you HAD to have a degree from an accredited American university.

Would you trust an Indian with your money, trying to navigate American financial regulations?

I bet they don’t pay nearly as much for their degrees or to sit for the exam… and I bet they’ll work for MUCH less.

As a NE Ohio native I was so upset to see them go after Chief Wahoo and the name “Indians”.

However, I for one was a fan of the proposed (joke obviously) name, the Cleveland Steamers

Israel has control deep within our government. Until that is taken care of, if we turn on them then any second they can fuck shit up internally.

If we manage to regain the Panama Canal, expect China to attempt to revive the Nicaragua Canal project.

The 2nd point here is the most obvious. Regaining the Canal Zone would essentially act as a 2nd wall.

Whichever is the most recent, I guess. Not that anyone actually said what all was in this version. I think they did split it up into separate issue bills for the most part though.

I wish we could get actual HSR in this country. Doesn't need to be transcontinental, I think that's still best served by flights. But maybe a line up and down the West Coast and then one on the East Coat with a spur branching out from DC to Chicago at least

Okay but I guarantee all provinces except maybe Alberta and Saskatchewan will vote Democrat

And Canada being one giant state is silly. Realistically we’d add 10 states (provinces) and 3 incorporated organized territories (Yukon, NWT, Nunavut)

The tribe of Judah essentially stole the name of Israel, there was originally a United Israel, but Judah split as a separate kingdom, Israel was conquered by the Neo-Babylonians and expelled the other tribes. Judah remained a puppet/client state of the Neo-Babylonian Empire but eventually the the of tribe of Judah became the only remaining tribe as all the others mixed with the rest of Europe and the Middle East or wherever. Then in the modern era they claim the name Israel. Whether you consider that them stealing the name or them having a right to it as the last remaining tribe is up to opinion.

The “Jewish homeland” really should be territory south of Jerusalem into the Negev desert, as that’s where the Kingdom of Judah was located. Not even Jerusalem should be in their homeland because it was under the tribe of Benjamin iirc.

And the Jews are not “God’s chosen people”. Jacob passed the Abraham’s blessing to Ephraim and Manasseh, not Judah. So I would think this means their descendants are the chosen people, but since the other tribes assimilated into other population groups, it’s not possible to tell them apart.

Zoning laws need redone for cities. I hate single use zoning. It would be so great to have local businesses and stores run out of people’s homes without having to drive miles to a supermarket.

I love the way Japan does zoning. It allows for homes to be built in every zone except exclusively industrial. Small stores and shops can be built in virtually every zone as well. Also, they don’t have HOAs because you can’t dictate what your neighbor does with their property.

ISIS is virtually dead, they have no territory and whatever is left of them is totally underground. They've been on their own during all this. They're enemies with the Kurds, the rebels, and were with Assad's forces

The Turkish backed rebels already took over control of some Kurdish territory during the initial moves and capture of Aleppo. The whole northeast of the country is governed by a Kurdish government and is basically its own country now. They had previously had an agreement with Assad and sort of acted like an autonomous zone within Assad's Syria, but unless they make a deal with Turkey and the rebels, they're next on the chopping block because PKK members are in their government. The rebels already expressed plans to take the city of Manbij from the Kurds, saying they'll be sweeping for PKK members.

Assad is a bad dude, don’t get it wrong. A big chunk of the rebels and the ones doing the push through Homs are a group called Tahrir al-Sham, using “Syrian Salvation Government” as a facade. Honestly they probably aren’t much better.

Syria will probably go from Ba’athist to becoming theocratic like Iran and Afghanistan. Who can say to what level or extreme they will take their rule. Syrian Christians have been siding with the rebels if that says anything.
