I have an employee stuck in Doha. I’m not aware of anything like this but maybe it hasn’t circulated yet. My flight departed Doha with six whole minutes to spare. 1 of 3 flights that made it out before closing the airspace. All said, they claimed locals are moving about fairly normal now and hope to get a commercial flight out soon. Recently evac orders have changed to extraction contingency.

Doha airport is amazing, luxury at its finest. I got out of Doha 45 min before the strikes. 1 of 3 flights that didn’t get diverted. I have a flight tracker screen shot of us going over Iran and just north as the airspace closed….

All true - I’m in this fight daily and it’s no fun, and I don’t see an end anytime soon. My pricing is good for 2 days and then needs a new quote, it’s insane.

Spot on - 52 here, yes and yes to all of it. But I will say not all GenX are the same, we have our fair share of stupids.

I have the pleasure of working downtown and watching the blatant open drug use and defecation in the streets. This is not the 90’s, we would come over from the east side and have a good time, there’s nothing good in Seattle anymore.

leftists bread future criminals, so why not let them abort their offspring so we don’t have to deal with them down the road. Maybe they bread themselves out of existence….

In a moment of honesty - most the people who are wanting to abort the below will most likely end up the above. I do have a number of conservative friends who argue that point - “to prevent future dependencies”, might be some merit to the point.

I would decline if it meant we wouldn’t have to pay income tax ever again.

Secondly, would this be tax free? Or we going to take it again on “theft day”?

Comical - Issaquah is one of the more wealthy areas in the Puget Sound, they don’t have a large illegal migrant population. This is gaslighting, social justice warriors who don’t actually have to worry about anything.

H1B visa employees aren’t “cheaper” than anyone else. I know this first hand. I’ve hired people on H1B’s as they worked on their US citizenship. Then subsequently sponsored them which costs about $35k - $50k in legal fees and expenses.

To say they’re “taking” US jobs isn’t untrue but doesn’t tell the whole story either. In the tech industry there isn’t the labor force you’re led to believe. And the quality of candidates, omg some real turds of people out there. And entitled, now that could be a generation or a location issue. I’m not sure, but the H1B folks actually come across as grateful vs. the entitlement group.

All said, I try and avoid H1Bs because of the headache, but they’re not cheaper in any way. Not sure about other industries or why people think H1Bs are “cheaper” but from my experience, they just another body to fill a need the eventually either go back home or they get their citizenship. Oh and BTW the ones I sponsored where awesome folks and I’m glad they’re citizens now.

My dad is on his last breaths from lung cancer, I’m convinced it was the result of the jabs. His excuse was at my age what harm could they do - well he developed lung cancer at 83 and within the year is about to die. I’m destroyed seeing a great man and role model bed ridden and can’t form an audible word. This said, VA is insuring him at 100% - the VA needs people who will do the right things and get the money to the vets who need it. Grifters should be prosecuted - bring back public hangings…might be the attitude adjustment required for significant change.

Yup, same. my generac ran for 4 days without recharging. These bastards keep trying to take our NatGas too….unbelievable. We lose power all the time and our generator runs pretty much everything. My last purchase is Starlink so I won’t have any cabling.
