I don't think that was an attempt to hide what they were saying. I think the reporter didn't want to get fired or catch an FCC violation for saying fuck Joe Biden on national television.

And no one has the stones to throw him in jail for contempt. What if he just refused to be taken into custody. Would USSS even allow it to happen?

The ACLU will protect the rights of people they find distasteful. They've done it before. They're anti government restriction on speech. It's like their big thing.

I'm not sure that would even work. I would expect mass civil disobedience. I think A ton of people would just refuse to show up. Like so many the government couldn't even do anything about it.

Mitch, Biden, Feinstein. It's fucking absurd that people who probably should not be in charge of their own lives, are running the country.

Ad hominem isn't meaningless. You just don't know the definition. It's a fancy way of saying you're just calling the other person names. It is childish and brings no value to the conversation.

Accurate. They care about the lobbyist funding their campaigns. The rate of incumbents winning in Congress (especially the Senate) is outrageous. You have to belong to that caste to get elected it seems.

Hollywood accounting is notoriously nontransparent. They do a bunch of accounting magic to make it look like the movie didn't turn a profit. This is because some people who work on the film (huge stars usually) get points or percentages of the profits. Well if the movie doesn't make any money you don't have to pay that person anything. Really huge stars can negotiate for gross points rather than net points and avoid all that.

The textbook industry is straight graft. How about teachers who sell you their own fucking book. Or we have a new edition (we changed some punctuation) and now the old edition just won't do. You'll need a whole new set for your school.
