I spent a good number of years there in the thick of wide body manufacturing in leadership positions in Join positions as well. We STOPPED production on many occaisions internally for the smallest of items. Boeing has taken a beating recently. Some earned, many just pig piles on fake news. I call bullshit on this guy. I know his kind. He feels he is always right even when he’s wrong. He’s a production narcissist. They are always angling a way to be the gatekeeper to production but never contributes in a positive way. This is bullshit.
You can bet the orders have already been placed and the manufacterers have been told with a “wink” that they will be paid “soon”. Mark my words, the stuff is probably already in Europe waiting for the authorization to cross the border....
Just initiate a citizens initiative to add a new tax on government compensation payments. Its like the difference between a captital gaines tax and an income tax. Its all earnings, but money earned from labor is labeled as “income” is taxed at a higher rate than money earned from money (capital gaines). So, make another category for taxpayer money payed to individuals for their time as “taxpayer gaines” tax. I suggest 50% as an opener...
