SIgned up for beta as soon as I saw it mentioned on here today, got a "thanks, we'll be in touch shortly" Back to the waiting game for me I guess, though I did get my Dad set up with Truth Social on his Iphone when we went to visit for Mothers Day weekend.
Signed up for beta earlier this morning, still waiting to hear back from them (Android user here, though I did get my Iphone using Dad signed up Mothers Day weekend) As someone who likes putting almost all of her apps in dark mode to save my eyeballs, I do like the color scheme and layout that I've seen so far.
oh God I'll never forget that cause our youngest son was 17 at the time that hit the news and I'm pretty sure the International Space Station could see his eyeroll at that news. The day ater the 2016 election he told me, "Mom, you should have seen the Hillary supporters online when they realized she was losing, it was GLORIOUS" Makes me smile every time I think of it.
When he announced he had cancer a while back, I feared the worst. Thrilled to see him conquer it and keep shredding! Been a fan of his for years, first saw them on the Youthanasia tour here in Louisville (Also got introduced to Korn that night, as they opened for them) Good times :)
The horse that got scratched was one trained by D Wayne Lukas, and that man is a GOD in the horse racing business. Dude's been training longer than I've existed on this planet (I'm a 45 yr old ladypede) Derby winning horse ownet/trainer/jockey are all first time Derby winners. 80-1 odds means a $2 win ticket, I'd have to go find the numbers, but you'd be getting back something like $160. That's a LOT of dough to pay out. The more exotic bets were even crazier. Horse racing has taken a huge hit with last yr's Derby getting disqualified cause of a banned substance so they needed a feel good story but THIS? I can't see this being rigged cause everything is under a super huge microscope right now.
Second biggest odds in Kentucky Derby history. Biggest odds ever? 1913's Donerail, 91-1 odds. Rich Strike was entered in the Kentucky THE DAY BEFORE when Ethereal Road was scratched. Aerial View of Rich Strike's win Jockey weaved him in and out of traffic like it was I65 rush hr. Unreal.
Walked Dad through ordering the DVD yesterday when visiting for early Mothers Day/Kentucky Derby. Also got him signed up on Truth Social and had him bookmark the Devolution link for further reading. Can't wait to talk to him later after he's done some reading/watching :)
As a lifelong horse racing fan (grew up in between Louisville and Lexington KY) this race was INSANE to watch. This horse gets in the day before, goes off at 80-1 odds, hangs back a bit then weaves through the horses like it was I65 rush hour and WINS in the final furlong. Second biggest odds in Derby history behind 1913 Donerail (91-1)
Not surprising. My home state of KY went for Trump BIG time in both 2016 and 2020. We have a Dem state gov right now cause the last guy, a Repub, went up against the teachers union and got his ass stomped. This race was unreal an 80-1 longshot that got in the Derby the day before cause a horse got scratched came from nowhere and won in the final gallops. His name? Rich Strike. Second biggest longshot in the history of the Derby, the first being Donerail winning in 1913 at 91-1 odds.
Amazon workers won’t get paid for Covid leave anymore Glad I got the fuck out of there last Aug. Still worried about friends of mine that still work there.
Mr. WASHINGTON POST said this?!?!?!? breathes ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah wheezes, cough ahem ahhhahahahahahahahaha, Dumbass. Worked at an Amazon fullfilment center for 7 yrs. Finally escaped last yr. Slight pay cut but MUCH happier and healthier now.
'Revelation Mother Earth' is another one. "Mother, please show the children/Before it's too late/To fight each other, there's no-one winning/We must fight all the hate" Ozzy just announced he's finished up his latest album. I hope he tours again, but if he doesn't I'll fondly remember the three times I did get to see him live.
Would love to see him come back here to KY (last time he was here I think it was Nov 2019? Was in Lexington KY, I couldn't go cause of work but my parents went and had an amazing time, I was glad they were able to go)
Android here, tried signing up for beta a few days ago, got a 'we'll be in touch with you shortly' Nothing. Saw the desktop version today, tried signing up hours ago. Still no verification email.
