While trying to learning Japanese I started learning a bunch of these characters (they both share the same symbols) and I must say its pretty interesting how they take different symbols and add them together to make complex symbols. But in the end I find it very impractical because even to be able read basic text, you need to learn minimum 2000 symbols :(

I've seen close to that on a sunset in AK, don't remember the circumstances, the tint on buildings and such was red except where artificial light hit them.
Other was a wall of rich purple and black, when a tornado was inbound. A litteral wall of black and purple. Movies cant do nature justice. The wind was being sucked towards it while it came at us, the brease made no noise, it was eerily quiet. Super cool and scary at the same time.
