Not to be a doomer, but if you dig into the reporting on this the actual story (that the data integrity was bad, which has its own implications) is different than what Rasmussen is reporting. Over 550k voters have a default registration date in 1918 because the registration date is null.
The data hasn't been corrected for 15 years, though, which might be an issue in and of itself.
You're missing one point, which is that people in the medical industry are taught and then forced to dehumanize their patients. I've seen it in my own family members. They view healthcare without compassion or humility - almost with scorn.
Most people don't know that it costs, on average, about $150k to die in the United States. Generally almost 100% of that cost is absorbed by the government in a wealth transfer to hospitals and doctors, and if you are a doctor you must abide by this - you must intubate someone with a DNR, you must fight against the wishes of a healthcare proxy, and you must maximize suffering before death, all for the sake of a few dollars more.
