There's no need to agree which side is right but only that an insurrection exists to justify the emergency powers of the Executive office. Hence why changing the Covid narrative is so important. Once we stop agreeing as a whole that there is an emergency, the government loses its mandate for their powers.

Knowing that I used to get so roped into all the distractions the people around me are so focused on, it's weird. They go on for hours about what some celebrities are saying and who's playing what in some new movie, as though it has any bearing on their lives at all. I wouldn't spare it any thought or blame, but they get so overly invested in it all. I don't think I was ever so invested like that, but it was more like trivia to me.
Now it still is trivia, but it's aimed more towards which ones are most likely to be D5ers.
