From my personal experience of "educated" people around me (friends, old classmates, even family members) it isn't that there's no information available - although the EneMedia (MSM) makes it darned difficult to find reliable information.
It's that they refuse to look at viewpoints other than their own narrow ones, almost always dictated by the progressives, er the leftists. They obediently recite leftist talking points all the while looking down at us because they think we're scum / racist / misogynist / conspiracy theorists / deplorable / etc etc etc. And they're vocal about their disdain for anyone challenging their cherished leftist beliefs, especially anything related to Pres. Trump.
