I have no problem with accountability. And I'm more than happy to tell my bosses what I'm working on and what I'm spending my time on and encouraging them to direct me where I should be spending my time, but my job now is getting down to the hour, "I need you to account for each hour of the day". This is getting difficult in a salaried position.
I'm honestly starting to ask. Why do I have to tell you what I'm working on? Why aren't you telling me what I should be working on? Does the directive not come from the top? Shouldn't the boss direct what the worker works on?
