Some might say, BuT PosSe CoMiTatUs! Sure, let's look at 18 U.S. Code § 1385 - Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus. It's true that POTUS cannot use the Army or Air Force as posse comitatus without Congressional authorization.
HOWEVER, these restrictions do not apply to the usage of the Navy, and thus not to the usage of the Marines. Have a look at the Marine Corps Policy from the above CFR for details on how the Marines may be used "To assist Federal, State, and local law enforcement agencies within the limits imposed by higher authority and the Posse Comitatus Act," they remain "under the command of their Marine superiors when accompanying civilian police" and they "may come to the aid of civilian police in order to prevent the commission of a felony or injury to a civilian police officer." POTUS can use the Marines to help all non-military police forces to arrest traitors and insurrectionists and doesn't need any permission from Congress.
Yes, the Marines can work in coordination with the NG, and it's possible the NG has already been activated per the Insurrection Act. The conditions have been absolutely been met to justify POTUS using the NG and armed forces to enforce Federal authority. Granted, POTUS does not need any permission from Congress to use any regular military forces for defense against insurrection and rebellion. But those forces cannot be used to make arrests unless authorized by Congress. However, the Marines can make arrests under the authority of POTUS, without being barred by the Posse Comitatus Act. Arrests are the important aspect of this whole thing. Could regular civilian police make such a massive amount of arrests on their own? Are they reliable? Marines seem to be the better option, at least as support.

Many are assuming that IA was signed, I know I did. Don't forget that the recently signed Military Budget Bill included a provision that POTUS must ask for Congress permission to enact IA. But according to Wictor link/post earlier today (another thread) it was via FEMA and Miller to go around it. Many thought Trump was done when the (bill) veto was overriden, but I guess looking at the drops above this was already accounted for in the plan, years ago. OP maybe should amend the info and list Wictor's great insight into how Trump accomplishes what's required to use FEMA and Marines. And then maybe amend the OP and not mention the IA use?

Had they not served in their role to delay the British landings and put up a fight, the main forces might not have had enough time to finish preparing the defenses. There's also the connection of Jackson declaring martial law in New Orleans. I was going to mention Jackson, given the common comparisons to Trump, but at New Orleans, Jackson wasn't President yet, just a generall. Also, the war of 1812 was technically over before the battle, so I don't think you can really say he saved the Republic. It is my understanding that DC is the only NG that has no State jurisdiction, it's always Federal and therefore Title 10. Which makes sense b/c it's DC.

It seems to me that this solves the manpower problem. This says the Marines can assist regular law enforcement not that they can act on their own. However if you found say 100 FBI agents(or ATF etc) that were reliable/loyal you could then give each one of those agents a platoon of Marines to "assist" him/her. So the Marines aren't arresting anyone. The agent is arresting them per the sealed indictment/warrant. The Marines are simply "assisting" that one agent in his duties.
100 or maybe 200 teams like that could arrest a crap-ton of people in just a matter of days. And resistance would be met with firepower I doubt few could resist for long. They could full on Roger Stone anyone and everyone. Ironically if your goal was to get them to GITMO I'm pretty sure the Navy has enough ships. So if you quickly evacuated them out to sea it would eliminate any resistance efforts.
Actually Marines have the perfect vehicle for this. The LAV-25 is a wheeled light armored vehicle but with its 25mm cannon and TOW launchers it can engage almost anything. It can travel on most regular roads without doing any damage, unlike heavy tanks etc. They can do 60 mph and they're amphibious. Mixed with Humvees or the new Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) no one is going to argue with them for long. Fast light effective.
