I didn’t realize how weird it all is that we’re wearing masks in public.
For the first time in almost a year I went in publish and held my head up high wearing no mask.
We got many stares and glances.
In the end we were ratted out by another customer who pointed at us and said “They should be wearing masks!” An employee asked us to put our masks on and we complied (we were in line checking out).
We all need to start doing this. Civil disobedience.
You should not have complied. They cannot make you wear a mask. Compliance is all they want. Compliance means submission. Those who "ratted" you out should have been put to shame. They should have been asked if they knew the history of Nazi Germany and how the "rats" helped the cause of a great injustice. They should have been asked if they really feel that a pandemic can continue forever. I'm sorry, but when we decide to stand up for our rights, we don't sit down because someone rats us out. I live in Florida where the rats have left NY to visit here, but they aren't interested in the place where I live. You rat someone out where I live, and it won't go well for you. Rednecks and hillbillies may be the ones who end this crap once and for all. Someone has to stand up and remain standing.
NOPE
Went to the feed store yesterday in the "hillbilly" part of the state. Got the cold shoulder from the staff for not wearing a mask.
Then had a guy who worked at the grocery store try to intimidate us and then called the police when we wouldnt put on masks. "Don't Treat on Me" tattoo right across his arm.
Not the ones where I'm at, I guess.
Red is in the neck of the beholder, I guess.
These people don't understand things like "don't tread on me" past the symbol. I know a guy who thinks he's an edgy republican flying the confederate flag, had to break it to him that he was flying the democrat slave flag.
Ugh. Unreal.
Made me smile. I have redneck friends. I'm half-hillbilly. Some believe they are one and the same. They are not, but perhaps there may be some that can't fight their way out of a box. I've been protected and surrounded by a few in some tough fights (when I was much younger). I have great respect for them.
They can make you wear a mask or be trespassed and removed from their store. Don't give people the wrong idea.
I live in Florida. I believe that is in the United States of America. That may be the difference. I live in a state whose governor understands the freedoms of the people. I feel sorry for anyone who resides in a state that does not have a governor like ours, but I believe freedoms, and the freedom to protect myself from the severe medical and psychological effects of a mask is one I take seriously.
You have this backwards. Private property is private property. Anyone should be able to remove anyone from their private property for ANY reason. The government mandating private businesses to serve customers is the opposite of freedom.
So, if I am medically unable to wear a mask, and I need to eat, I can't walk into a grocery store. I have allowed stores that are not essential to exercise their rights to require a mask. I exercise my right to not venture into that store. The whole discussion is ridiculous because COVID is not a killer. The first strains were, but whether they have weakened or whether the first doses were manufactured as killers, I have no idea. We cannot live in fear. We cannot live forced to reside behind a mask and breathe in CO2 rather than oxygen. We have to stop this COVID vaccination crap, and we have to just put an end to this before our world tilts off its axis. In my lifetime, I have watched insane individuals put forth insane ideas, and it has led to this. I believe that more people will die of COVID related depression or disease and cancers brought on m mask wearing. I believe dementia will increase, and the life population will be decreased just as they have planned it to be. So don't tell me that a Publix or another supermarket who has foods and goods necessary for life has the right to deny service because crazy people believe a little harmless cold is going to kill them. Doesn't work for me, and it shouldn't work for any American. These are times created by individuals to destroy our freedoms. Seems to me it has worked quite well on you.
What are you arguing here? Are you arguing against how I think things should be, how things currently are, or how you think things should be? You're being incredibly vague.
Great. Why are you mentioning this to me? It's irrelevant to our discussion.
What discussion? The one currently between you and me, or the one between you and stores?
That's not true at all, the virus was never more lethal than it currently is. The only thing I can figure is that you're conflating increased testing rates with the virus itself becoming less lethal? That's just ignorant.
Great. Again, entirely irrelevant to this discussion.
You've entirely missed my point, and your ignorance is overwhelming. The irony that your position is one of freedom is astounding. You're supporting the removal of private business decisions in favor of mandating others to work for you. You're stripping citizens of privatization in favor for big government by arguing that companies should not be allowed to make decisions for themselves.
You don't know the first thing about me. Stop acting like this - learn how to read and listen to others in a conversation instead of just being an upset asshole to everyone you meet, learn the fundamentals of freedom, and stop acting so arrogantly to suggest that you know anything about me from my incredibly brief comments to you.
Thank you for that great analysis. Glad I could waste your time on the explanation.
I really pity someone like you who tries to make enemies out of everyone they meet. I hope you find Jesus some day.
....and, you complied. At the finish line of all places...
I was at a CVS recently. Asked the pharmacist where an item could be found, she looked up at me in shock (I knew what the look was, seen it before) so I rail-roaded my question to her. She answered and then asked me where my mask was. I promptly ignored it and asked another question, got my answer, thank you and walked back into the store.
The Manager found me minutes later, asked if I need a mask. (No thanks). You shpuld be wearing a mask (that’s okay).
He stepped it up. Sir you need a mask on, I dont want any conflict with you or other guests. ( then I SUGGEST you drop it and you wont have any!) He dropped it and after that moment was a very great help finding my items. I politely thanked him after check out and left.
You need tp hold the line. They really cant do a damn thing and it’s even better when they have self check-out. Kek. They can’t leverage you.
lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this reaction to OP's story
Like wtf?!?!?!
And he comes here for a pat on the back. Sounds like a wimp tbh.
No. He was trying to share what for him was a big first step. We all reach these points of courage at different times and in different ways. And depending on where you live, repercussions vary greatly. It was a great start.
Well maybe he shouldn't be a wimp next time because times are going to get a lot tougher than wearing face diapers
Kek, I know. The Op is atleast taking a step in the right direction.
A step in the right direction would be depriving that store of his hard earned money, enough customers start doing that and the "rat" customers cries will soon start to fall on deaf ears as more and more of us abandon the tyranny lovers.
Exactly.
baby steps
where I live - we do not wear masks and the ones that do look like the ODD BALLS
I would LOVE to find a town like that. I'd drive two hours to get shopping done.
I'm in liberal land and have no problems being mask free. I won't comply, and will fight back against masked cucks twice as hard as they come at me, and I think somehow they can tell. Normally they leave me alone.
Yup. Hold the line. If you have to leave all of the groceries at the counter, fuck it, let it go. We've had the cops called on us twice. We've been told to leave. Fuck it, fine.
For some reason being medically exempt in Canada is sacred, people are so far cucked that they are all pushovers of their own BS.
When you're a 300lb dude, people don't say shit to you. I had ONE older dude say some shit to me and told him that it was far more likely HE GAVE ME the Chyna virus because I've been laid off for a few months and haven"/ been able find work.
Lovely
Lucky you.
We might live in the same place. :-)
I haven't worn a mask at all since this all started. I don't see that as a brave move or high achievement. Posts like this one shouldn't exist, just grow a pair.
I haven’t worn a mask either but apparently people need help and encouragement with not complying to bullshit lunacy. I say encourage people to be free and help them grow a pair.
"I I I I I almost did it!" "You should do it!"
When I am asked.. I reply "Does your mask work?" , when they reply "Yes" , I then reply " Then I am the only one at risk here and I assume such risk for a 99.9% survival rate." They usually leave me alone as they don't have an answer.
Where I am if we say "I am medically exempt" it's basically like picking your gender, you don't need any reason, you don't need to prove it, you are by law free to go about your business. And other citizens have zero right to say one word to you, and a quick "mind your own business" usually scares them away.
Nice job. My grocery store here in Iowa (Hy-Vee) has a sign requiring masks but I always walk in without one and nobody seems to mind. Employees have clearly been instructed to just leave people be, because they are always really kind and never even mention my lack of mask.
That said I'm still usually the extreme minority as masks are "required" and it's definitely a dystopian experience. For a few minutes I feel extremely uncomfortable, but after I get over the discomfort I look around and realize, these people look crazy.
This time has made me realize that for most people the answer to the rhetorical question "If everyone jumped off a bridge would you?" is actually a resounding YES!
I go maskless all the time. Love the looks I get and extra room to shop as they all avoid you like the plague.
I also love hearing the PA reminder shortly after I enter reminding everyone of the mask rules
It's simultaneously hilarious and depressing at the same time. Knowing how scared shitless these people have let themselves become from the 24/7 manufactured hysteria being broadcast by their TELL-A-VISIONS...
that's where you walk out leaving everything at the register without paying. it has to cost them money
Or you don't put on the damn diaper, take your things and gtfo. Don't punish yourself.
I haven't worn one yet, neither have my old ass parents. They refused to lock down. Drove them around all year with their 5th wheel, 9 states, we never wore a mask.
I could count on one hand the number of times I've worn a mask since Covid started. Just say no.
Same. And the few times I did wear one it was made of lace lol
No one said a word. hahaha
UHHHHH YOU FIRST
We say "medical exemption" and "NO" when asked if we want a mask or told to put one on. Leave if they won't serve you.
You know at Stop and Shops around me, whenever someone isn’t wearing a mask, and someone complains to the desk...
All they can legally do is ask you to put one on, provide you with one, and play an announcement saying they have masks at the desk and to join them in wearing one.
I see it happen every day, the mask nazis get so upset it’s the best.
In my state, violating the mask mandate can net you a $1,000 fine and 30-60 days in jail.
I don’t wear a mask to any stores, to restaurants or outside. I can’t believe that people even wear them outside walking around.
Bingo!
I have been to the local Kubota tractor dealer several times in the last 4 months. The first time I walked in I was greeted by a guy who said. "No one in here is wearing a mask; as I was digging in my pocket for a bandana. Same thing at the auto parts store and local sporting goods store. And that's in OREGON!!
I always realized. I NEVER complied. We are not disobeying - we are free by the law of the Constitution to wear or not to wear. Please understand color of law. It it is very simple: don't wear it, don't buckle under coercion, walk out of the store, shop where you are welcomed and respected.
Went out to dinner last night... put a mask on to get in because that's what the sign said on the door... after being seated mask came off and stayed off even during trip to the restroom as well as a very slow exit from the restaurant making sure everyone could see me smiling ?
It’s hard not to comply when your job mandates you wear the freakin mask..ok I need money so I will. When job makes shot mandatory they have another thing coming..I will not comply! I proudly shop where there is no mask signs on the door. I work at retail and go to competitor because they don’t have mask police sitting at the door. Where I live our governor mandates it but our police said they will not answer any mask calls because they are already busy with other things.
Great on you but never comply fully. Leave the store and go shop somewhere else or bring a ridiculous Halloween mask and wear that, show the people how ridiculous it it, plant the seed of doubt in them, it will grow.
This is information war so make sure you inform people. Tell them Fauci said masks don't work in March, tell them that the PCR cycles have been lowered and that's why cases are down, make sure to mention the WHO admitted tonk having it too high, all these people care about it authority not real science. Tell them you know someone high up and masks arent even gonna be required soon, even if its a lie it puts some doubt.
Have faith in yourself and be confident, I am 23 year old hippy looking kid and if anyone tells me to put on a mask i calmly give them the facts and tell them no. I've had a cashier check me out after standing my ground when she didn't want to at first. All these people care about it authority, you think they'd ask a cop to put on a mask? So just be the authority and usually they will comply, if I can do it anyone can.
"be the authority"
This is the answer. We must lead the way, it's that simple.
Kudos to you Anon.
Will they work in Aptil?
I can personally confirm that this is the most fun way.
I actually carry a copy of what Fauci said and hand it out when anyone questions me for not wearing one along with an article on the dangers to your immune system. Shuts them right up.
I was thinking it would be great to put together a small fact sheet with a ton if online references to start giving people good information.
I do not wear my mask anywhere but my job.
I never let people’s stares bother me but that’s me
If they want to confront you and you see they aren't open to red pills, just say you have a medical condition. If they ask what condition, then say they should respect your privacy and suggest they stop judging people without knowing their backgrounds and struggles.
My mom and I live in a mandatory mask state. We have not worn a mask once EXCEPT when we go to the hospital for her PT. (She's fine. She needs to stop climbing on chairs.)
Krogers, Brookshires, Farmers Market, Ellis, Cafe USA, Lowes, Home Depot, Tubbs, Ace, Sherwin Williams, Walmart Market, Hobby Lobby... We never wear a mask.
Months ago we got hassled checking out at Krogers by a rainbow mask-wearing, fag in black skinny jeans. He said he'd have to get his manager. We said "OK. You can check us out, or we can leave you to restock these carts." The manager came and checked us out himself and Rainbow mask guy went away. We went back about 10 days later and no one bothered us. Most people smile.
We're polite. We say "No thank you." when asked if we need a mask. We understand we can be "trespassed" but we never have been. Most places really want business.
Now that I've bragged about how awesome we are, I DO need to add... very early on, our local PD openly stated they would not respond to "mask calls". So I understand everyone's situation is different. Pushback where you can. Love you glorious bastards!
People probably won't like this, but I pulled a face shield from my wood shop and wear that in lieu of a mask. Only one place has refused me entrance. It's not a face diaper, plenty of fresh air. Doesn't do a damn thing to stop a virus, but then again neither does a mask, and they are nasty! I don't know why more people don't do that.
I've been mostly complying because i don't like being confronted, but my husband and I have decided enough is enough. We saw another woman at the grocery store without one and I thanked her for giving us the courage to take ours off. Hopefully we will give others the confidence to take theirs off as well. We are in a very blue state and blue county.
Yeah I don't abide. Worn a mask two or three times and did it incorrectly every time. When I used to go to Walmart and the mask-nazi was guarding the door, I'd just say random stuff when they asked where my mask was. My favorites were, it is a nice day out, traffic was bad for me too, the price of condoms has been going up, and God bless you too. Give them a whirl
I never wear/wore a mask. Anywhere. Any time anyone has ever said anything to me, It's always a civilian and I typically ignore them unless they're uppity about it, then I aggressively tell them to mind their business and then I, or they, usually walk away. I've only ever had one employee has ever asked me curiously and earnestly if anyone has ever asked me to put one on, and I've told them no. I've been offered a mask by an employee once too, and I just said "No thanks, but I appreciate you asking" -- No compliance. They cannot force you to wear one, if you believe they can, you lost. I've crossed paths with local and state LEOs in public, they never say anything.
I once went into a convenience store with no shirt and got sneers. Same thing with a long ponytail at the "country gas stand". People, rules and liberties are a volatile mixture...
Except you chucked at the end...maybe next time
Nice!!!!
"I have a medical exemption- but I called ahead and the police said it was OK."
Use the Fleccas defense.
I walked into a liquor store in New Jersey without my mask, accidentally, and nobody even said anything
Thankfully, I live in a town where they look at you funny if you DO wear a mask. Unless you go to the doctor office, then everyone wears one or they don't let you in.
Never comply. It may have felt brave but it was weak.
