Makes you appreciate the strategic importance of owning Alaska. It was always weird to me how it's part of the US but it's so separate and distant from us, and from an OCD standpoint it should just be Canada's.

As a Canadian... Thank god you took it from the Russians. Gotta be honest, I have always loved the USA (more than Canada) but Canada was always been looked at like America-Lite which is totally fine. However the past 14 months has completely exposed what Canada is. A nation of passive people who are happy to let everyone else lead the charge. We let everyone walk all over us with no fighting spirit. I am watching our liberties been taken and nothing done, people are hardly even upset about it. And lets face the truth.. While we are totally influenced by the USA, we are Britains bitch.

Thank god for the USA.

I’m friends with quite a few Canadians. As polite as they’ve always been, I’m absolutely disgusted at what they post. Just like you say, they are completely happy to be quiet and do as they’re told. Then criticize Trump. It’s so frustrating.

Taking over Russia with Bolshevik terrorists was essential to keep us divided

We share more in common with Russia than degenerate Western Europe today, a fact that terrifies TPTB

I am convinced Putin is a white hat. First clue was him handing the soccer ball to Trump, saying “The ball is in your court now.”

Recent confirmation: Russia kicking out the central bankers. Abandoning fiat. This is HUGE!

And now Myanmar is following suit. Bye bye central bank, hello fair elections.

I figure Xi and Midi are willing white hats as well. Plus the SA crown prince. Others have been flipped and under white hat control.

This is a world premiere movie we are watching. Most complex mil op of all time with many layers and players working together secretly. Amazing.

He was Putin’s chief strategist that employed the “Chaos Strategy” that Trump used to drain the swamp

It was first used in Russia to drain their swamp

IMHO calling the Bering Strait a border is a bit of a stretch, when we do that with no other bodies of water. No one ever speaks of Florida "bordering" Cuba, or South Carolina "bordering" Bermuda.

Taken to its logical extreme, Hawaii borders Australia and Japan, among many other countries. :)

Who would be downvoting this?

The Bering Strait is over 50 miles wide.

Shipping from major world ports is far more effective than this digging a 50+ mile tunnel under the Bering sea so you can truck/train stuff 8000 miles across the Arctic.

This is just more of the conspiracy-crazies-think-everything’s-a-conspiracy crap, and using GAw as a too-receptive dumping ground.

You’re missing the point

We ship goods 7k miles on 23 mph boats that uses insane amounts of gas

Instead of training them 8k miles at 300 mph using a fraction of the gas

It’s not just that, it’s the psychological impact of making Americans and Russians think they’re on opposite sides of the world...they want to separate us so we don’t turn on them

As much as I love the sentiment, which I agree with 100%, one point of factual clarification.

The distance between them separated by the Bering Strait, is 50 miles, not 2.2. Proof: I lived in Alaska for 11 years, it is common knowledge up there. Many of the military stationed at Elmendorf AF Base in Anchorage, or Eilson AF Base, or Ft Wainright (both in Fairbanks) have done stints on the Bering. It is common to hear the stories of them stairing at Russians through binoculars and scopes, Russians stairing back. I heard a couple times on holidays, like July 4 and Christmas, they would put on a fireworks show for our boys, waving an American flag on their side. This was all late 80s, early 90s.

Not really an important point, just a small clarification. Thanks all!
