I'm currently unemployed and refusing to move on to in person interviews if they require mask. Ah the principled life, it's not an easy journey. Good luck.

I wouldnt even ask. Just show up without it and if they try and force you to wear one, just leave. Make them waste time on you just because of a mask. If everyone adopts the same philosophy, eventually places will get tired of reviewing apps just to lose a potential employee over a mask.

Too bad you couldn't get a few others in positions of importance to join you in leaving. It could have made an unmistakable impact. Replacing one person is a headache but not impossible. Replacing a group of key people could really impact a company negatively. They might have wanted to negotiate and possibly made masks optional? Good luck.

Well done, OP. (But the plural of "American" is "Americans".) Start your own business, as I did a couple of decades ago. It worked for me. Mail order can be good, since you don't deal deal with customers face-to-face. Service industries can be good (plumber, electrician) but not if the customers would rather deal with the problem themselves than allow you in without a mask.

When leaders, like yourself, leave a company many will follow. I did this back in 2000. Began consulting & later found out 2/3 of there managers left a week later & over half of the employees. A while later all the top leaders in that company were Federally indicted for most of the reasons I brought up before I left in a managers meeting & then more forcefully in a company wide meeting.

Found out about those indictments years later by a friend who worked there & todl me all about what happened. I had no idea it was such a powerful thing. It just took one guy that many in the company respected waking away to get a large portion to do it as well. I was told that they couldn't train their new hires fast enough to keep up the facade of honoring contracts well enough & that within a year of me leaving & the exodus that they were brought up on federal charges of fraud & a few other issues.

Almost every single employee & manager company that left during that time went on to build successful competitors or businesses that filled the niche for the problems that the previous company created.

I ended up one of 3 odd ducks that went a completely different direction within 5 years & love what I have created, wouldn't change it for anything.

With your work ethic, ability to communicate in a clear respectuful manner, & your willingness to give credit where it is due, you will end up in a better position soon.

Yep—Already doing it. Husband is refusing to wear mask in his office. His boss nags him constantly, but can’t fire my husband or the company would fold—Literally. I work for a church and I will not wear masks during the week. I will wear one around old folks on Sunday who are wearing one, though. I made a bandana type attached to a flexible headband so I can breathe and it can slip on and off quickly.

I have been quoting 2 Corinthians 3:17-18. * “17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 18 And we all, who with unveiled faces reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”*

Take off the veils! It is covering the glory of the Lord.

(Plus, it is so nice to see people’s faces again! )

Wow I’m choke up a bit ..God Bless you Patriot. I don’t have to wear one , I work for myself and I wear a medical exempt badge that I made a year ago for stores etc..I’m in Blue Cali ..but our Prez took Cali I know it...my son and daughter have to wear them for work ..my sons a patriot and is thinking of following your decision, he’s getting sores on face , behind his ears are all cut ..my daughter sadly liberal ..school and social media got her .. she walks into my house when she’s visiting with one on and I tell her take it off or leave. BRAVO to you patriot and thank you for your service..my heartbreaks at the moment for you , but instead I’ll turn my wrath on the devil and pray and then believe that God who is the ultimate freedom fighter will bless you with opportunities that will prosper you above and beyond what you could ask or think ..I’m honored to know you if only through here. God Speed for a blessed future my dear patriot !

Went to the grocery here in PHX today and about half the people weren't wearing masks, myself included. Felt good to see and a lot of places just straight up have mask fatigue. Seems we're having a lot of various types of fatigue lately.

Thank you for doing the right thing! I thought I had moved to a red state but as a lot of us are realizing there's Florida and everyone else is at best a follower...

I'm not working on site but already mixed it up with the CEO on the vaccination policy (hey, he said to write if we had questions or comments...). Suspect Rutgers and Israel and Britain are leading the way on mandates and a corrupt court decision will soon pave the way for it to be nationwide.

Assuming that since you were an invaluable employee that you had some leverage and $ saved up, but if that is not the case please allow patriots on here a way to reach out to you. We're all one "company mandate" away from joining you and we need to support each other because traditional family/friends networks won't be fully operational right now.

I had a clerk at a Nation wide farm and garden store thank me for not wearing a mask today. I bring one with me in case a worker asks me to wear it, it’s not their job to bicker with me about my beliefs... they don’t get paid for that. But unless asked, i do not put it on.

The door guy at Sams in Georgia told me I had to wear a mask because it is a mandate. I stopped and said do you know who owns this place. He abruptly said not you and I said The Waltons. I said they also own Walmart and over there in Walmart it’s not a mandate, there is 1000 people not wearing them in there and no one at the door telling them to,so..... the end of the story he said his mother told him he needed to enforce it because it was his job.

There's a face mask lady at the entrance of our Walmart. I rarely go to walmart but when I do, I don't wear a mask. However, the signs on the door say they require it. Not sure what part of GA you are in, in my part, Walmart hasn't budged on their mandate signs...but I agree they don't seem to be enforcing it.

Same here in Minnesota. Only one place has told me to wear a mask or else use curbside drop off. (Tiresplus, I gave them a nasty review for cleanliness, because I found rotten food laying around the lobby) I always make sure to say something to another non-masker. WWG1WGA

Good point! I had some neck beard pounce on me at Petco the other day soon a I walked in, I wear devices to walk on both legs - a wheelchair when I’m not using them. He asks if I have my mask and I say no I have a medical exemption. He then smugly tells me they have online shopping with curbside or delivery that I can use. I stopped dead I’m my tracks looked him in the eye and said “No, according to the law the Americans with Disability Act says that you must provide the same shopping experience for your customers- you cannot tell me that I cannot shop in your store because I am disabled.” He just stared at me then turned away and walked off. ?‍♀️ So crazy.

People might think that masks are no big deals but then what is next. You do have to take a stand at some point. I am in TX & everywhere you go they still expect everyone to wear a mask. There is no way anyone is forcing a vaccine on me. That is where I draw the line. My daughter just said her 16 year old friend just got it & I was literally Horrified. All I could say is, "we need to pray for her."

Bravo, Patriot. I commend you for following your beliefs. We need more Patriots like you to stand up.

Those who are giving into the masks AND the VAXs to keep their jobs, to travel or to be able to see their grandkids and/or their elderly parents are making it harder for those who reject these horrendous mandates and possibly make it even harder for us to keep our freedom.

I am retired so I don't have to follow the mask BS. I feel badly for those who have to work 8 hours in those face diapers. The more people reject this the easier it will be for ALL of us to reject it.

I am unemployed and am in no hurry to find a job at this point. Catching up on stuff around the house and watching this movie play out. Gonna get my butt in gear and take off the extra pounds and get back in shape too. I would be so distracted at work right now anyway. My mother is worried that I've fallen in with a cult, because why else would I not be working? Fortunately, husband is supportive (and is still working!)

Most people are actual slaves and will keep working with a muzzle on no matter the extent of the humiliation and unamericanness.
