So my state recently lifted the face diaper mandate (not that I complied) but my company was going along with it and was requiring masks.
They were nagging about masks if anyone was working close to someone else or talking close, otherwise if you were at your desk or assembly station you didn't have to.
The majority of the blue collar folks were ignoring it unless yelled at, the white collar people generally played along.
With the state's change the company did the same, and had a disclaimer that if you were close to someone who was continuing to wear a mask you should "social distance" or wear a mask and "respect" their choice.
Because there were some people who wore the mask like all the time. It was assumed these were the true believers who were going to keep doing it.
Today? I haven't seen anyone wearing the face diaper. Even the guy who was wearing it literally all day long. I have no idea how that guy didn't get lung rot.

Ours did today! Haven’t been out into the public as of yet. We have to at work because I work in healthcare. However when I go out to the store today, no matter what I’m not wearing a mask!
Wear your mask on your wrist or elbow.
That way, if anyone asks why you aren't wearing a mask... show them that you ARE. You can then point out that your mask is as effective on your elbow as theirs is covering their mouth. Neither one makes any difference.

When the finally end it in Wa. I'm going to get a mask and head to Home Depot (I'm there more than anywhere) I am there all the time and have yet to wear a mask. They all know me..."the guy that won't wear a mask."...I swear the day I show up and no masks I will wear one just to fuck with them.

I was in the same area not too long ago for business, Publix, Home Depot, fresh market, several other establishments didn’t say a thing about facemasks, only a small little music store, I chose to take my business elsewhere.
I ignore them when they say something, or go elsewhere. People still get into a frenzy about it in some areas, though.
Yet my sis in Fl. still wears them & insists they work ? It’s amazing how msm can turn intelligent people into brainwashed mush!
80% of positive Rona cases were diligent mask wearers. So... masks don't work. But true believers won't listen.
Family going to FL panhandle in June to visit our niece and her family. Will we have to "mask up" to go into the Publix etc.?
I'm quite a bit farther south, so not sure about the panhandle. I never wear one besides for work.
Panhandle, with the exception of Tallahassee, is very conservative, and I doubt they are big on masks. The Panhandle is often what turns Florida red in the elections (after south Florida can make the Democrat counts go way up because they are one time zone later).
I run a local food business in Indiana. Today was our first day without the so called mask mandate. No one asked why we weren’t masked up. I put notices on the doors so they were aware ahead of time but most didn’t read them anyway. Once they saw we were without ours many removed theirs too. About fucking time
Went to my nail/hair salon today and had a mask at the bottom of my purse. I didn't put it on, and no one in there had masks on either. LOL but our Dem mayor won't lift the mandate...but people in Indy are so over it all!

Congratulations to any in states that have lifted the mask requirement. I have been living alone out in the country the whole time, only having to wear a mask on quick trips to the grocery store.
Yesterday I met with my accountant, who is a maskie, and had to wear a mask for a half hour while we talked. I felt like I was suffocating, just wanted to rip the damn thing off. I was going to work this summer, but I realized there's no way I could wear one of those things all day. You can see how it would lower your immune system, breathing your own co2 all day. I don't know how anybody does it. Can't possibly be good for you.

Yeah, he got sick from C19. Very very few people here got sick from it.
Personally I think my wife and I probably had it but you'd better believe we never said anything to anyone. The mutation of it (assuming it's even real) around here that all the old folks had was: Really Tired, maybe a fever, not even coughing.
Well, I had that for about a week and a half. I was so freaking tired it was unreal. Like, get home from work and go to bed I was so tired.
But I sucked it up and never said a word. What do I know? I could still taste food, and I wasn't coughing. The only reason I would think it was C19 was because several people I know had the same symptoms and actually got tested and were pos.
Oh well, whatever.
My son & I had it last February before it was a thing. Tired building up to getting a fever for a day or two & a stuffy nose then tired for week after. My son had the cough too for a week. My husband never got it. We didn’t do anything different other than not going out during my fever. A month later, I told our friends they should be thanking me for staying in!
When I do wear one to the grocery or bank, I pull it off as I walk towards the exit.
Stupid people. Was at Buc-ee's here in Houston, TX area. Vast majority of people were still wearing masks even though the Governor has lifted the mandate. I could hear one woman mutter something to her daughter (who I was waiting behind for the ice machine) to basically get away from me because I didn't have a mask.

My state will be one of the very last. The Green Grinch loves her power too much. I am very proud of you all!! When people realize they're only one of the very few wearing the mask they will eventually wake up....for the most part. Super jealous. Wish my state would get it together. Although, even if my state did lift the mandate, my company has already said they will continue enforcing it regardless of what the state says. I don’t wear them outside of work but that still makes up 40+ hours of my week wearing it which cannot be healthy. Ugh.

That’s awesome, I hope we can soon see that happen everywhere. I hate being leery of going out just knowing I may have to defend myself in public for not wearing one. So many sheep walking around that don’t listen to reason or facts. I hate this world we live in right now, I hate seeing masks as part of the regular trash blowing around streets, I hate that there is marketing for all kinds of custom masks because it’s a “normal” part of society now. It’s good to hear stories like yours and I hope our old normal comes back, but even better than before when Trump returns.

Friday is our last day, not that I’ve worn a mask but wonder how many people will continue to wear them.? School Board in my County first said the kids & faculty in the schools would still wear them till end of school year, but suddenly changed their tune. I bet they got a ton of emails saying WTF?
