When our daughters were younger ( ~ 8 & 10) I would play this song on the CD player while driving them to school. I would tell them to listen to the lyrics. They didn't understand why back then. Need to play it for them again, and ask them now if it makes more sense.

Yeah, I was trying to remember where I had heard it recently. Husband and I were at dinner last night and we kept hearing 80s songs. Madonna then a Britney song led to the inevitable discussion about how long the puppet masters have been pulling the strings in the music industry. And he pulled up this one in the car on the way home. I’ve heard it so many times and didn’t really absorb the words. But I heard them loud and clear last night!
