And every single product is priced up 200% of comparable brands. I buy a lot of outdoor gear and The North Face really fell off once it became streetwear.
The preps wore North Face in high school. I've always seen them as a snobby brand. High priced and short lived. I'll stick with my Carhartts and Duluth Trading clothes.
When your snowboarding or sking all day carharts and Duluth definitely will not cut it. I kinda take offense you view me as a snob because of the gear I wear outdoors. I can assure I'm not and have never been a snob. I have Northface jackets, pants, gloves, and snow boats. It just gives me the excuse to get some new gear. I'm not too upset about it, who doesn't like to buy a bunch of new stuff? By the way I'm a country boy, don't get the wrong impression because of a stupid clothing brand. My Oakley gear costs more than almost all my north face stuff.
You use it for it's purpose, no hate. The preps used it as a status symbol. I want my $100 Carhartt coat to last me 5-7 years. When I retire my coat it's because it's shredded and no longer keeps out the cold, not because it's not the current design.
Originally I had thought it was because of the cold winter you face the north wind lol.
We do a lot of facebook rummage sale and facebook is a great way to pass around kids clothes when they've outgrown them we got a northface coat for my grandbaby it was alright but I wouldn't call it extraordinary, definitely not worth the hype.
Oh man I had this idea a while ago. Why do we have to pay a premium for brand items only to become a walking advertisement for them? If anything we should get a discount for wearing the branded stuff!
Not that popular, it's a point of contention in a lot of car forums and the general consensus is that it's mostly people trying to hide that they have the slow version of the car since those with the performance trims pretty much never de-badge.
Yeah we get 35 below a wool coat is nice when it's above zero but we have really high winds upwards of 60mph at times, combine that with below zero temps.
Now everyone go to North Face products on Amazon and leave feedback and ask questions like "Is it true Nylon and fleece is made from fossil fuels?" Go to the "Report incorrect product information" button and report that they left off the part about the product being made from Petroleum.
its been going on for a few days. I got hit the other day but on different threadown vote. Every one of my comments had one downvote. I'm pretty sure that person has since been deported. They are getting worried and the only thing they have left to do is be annoying.
For anyone wondering how it's possible that clothing could be made out of oil and gas...
It's because synthetic fabrics (polarfleece, rayon, dacron, polyester, polypropylene, capilene, etc) are made by taking petroleum (I'm not sure how gas comes into play) as raw ingredients and using chemistry.
Maybe if they asked North Face to bake a really gay cake jacket?
I almost bought a North Face jacket but that shits not even made in the US. Made in Chyna

Lol. That how you do it!
Lol I've always thought North Face was kind of pretentious. I see a few people wear them here in ND, but most wear Carhartt or Columbia coats.
Lmao

The north face is the side of the mountain with the worst weather, this is the real story. But I like the smug explanation too.
Herr Hunter (Jäger) is correct. In both senses. I enjoyed Rooftoptendie's explanation as well. This is the "Seattle Nice" crap I detest.
Doesn't look like Northface logo's can be removed. I don't like buying anything I can't remove the brand label from. I'm not a walking billboard.
Oh man I had this idea a while ago. Why do we have to pay a premium for brand items only to become a walking advertisement for them? If anything we should get a discount for wearing the branded stuff!
By discount you mean free. If they don't offer an unbranded version you don't have anything to base the price on.
You remove all of the labeling from your vehicles too?
It's called debadging and very popular. Open your eyes.

Never heard of a sleeper?
I used to drive a 94 Taurus SHO. That was a fun car.
I would do it or not do it strictly on whether it affected how the car appeared.
Open my eyes? I literally don’t have a badge on my own car. Why are you so vaguely accusatory?
The car dealers lables
Sure, why not?
I don't mind with Columbia coats they really are that warm.
Yep, where I live it’s all Patagonia now.
Dang I wouldn't trust those coats in a North Dakota winter, not even a mild one.
Well they’re designed for PNW winters, not Midwest winters. There a different markets you know?
Oh lol well we get a few idiots wearing them here and they claim they're warm they don't look it.
Well they’re wool so as warm as wool gets. They don’t break the wind that the Midwest gets though. I guess they’re woven pretty nicely though.
Yeah we get 35 below a wool coat is nice when it's above zero but we have really high winds upwards of 60mph at times, combine that with below zero temps.
I'm a woman and I am not your bro, fuck off with your condescending attitude. The coats people wear here do not look warm at all.
BOOM! Mic drop moment.
Great strategy to deal with the overwhelming virtue signaling coming from woke companies.
Now everyone go to North Face products on Amazon and leave feedback and ask questions like "Is it true Nylon and fleece is made from fossil fuels?" Go to the "Report incorrect product information" button and report that they left off the part about the product being made from Petroleum.
LOL? Great idea!
Virtue signalers are not human beings. They are lowly insects whose only purpose is to feed the birds.
First the AOC's Grandma GoFundMe troll and now this, what coming next this weekend?
This is greatness.
Trump taught people how to troll.
Clever. I love it.
Classic leftist thinking when you read the twitter responses. (I really shouldn't use "leftist" and "thinking" in the same sentence :) )
If you can't see the evil plainly, look for the hypocrisy.
I remember years ago another company maybe called South Butt if I remember correctly. I bought my sons tshirts
I heard of them as North Face was suing the guy trying to claim that he was somehow infringing on them.
The irony of North Face’s new LGBTQRSTUV ‘Pride’ collection is it only comes in two genders....no seriously lol
I'll never buy Two Faced products again.
Someone loser is on a downvoting spree, where are all these -1s coming from?
So, basically North Face is also a hypocrite. These virtue signaling companies are too much.
Karma.
The age of TRUTH is here! Bs is getting called out!
Sometimes brilliance is... just brilliance.
That's awesome!
Oof
Awesome. Well done.
Lmao, I like how there is one faggot downvoting every single comment on this thread.

Back in March the oil company also held a mock award ceremony and they trolled Noth Face with an 'Extraordinary Customer’ award.

Gas has the oil in it
It's time to just go full on attack... Like this
Thankyounorthface!
fuck Patagonia too.
Symbolism over substance.
