I'll go out on a limb and suggest that all the spraying was to increase crop yield but playing with mother nature can have consequences that nobody knew about. Genetic modification became an industry unto itself and the idea now is repugnant to many. Naturally, the road to hell is often paved with good intentions. The slippery slope can be a source of enjoyment to thrill seekers and profit worshipers.
My animals dont get them. Rabbies is more for outside dogs or cats in my opinion. My inside animals are very unlikely to get it. I feel its mostly a gimmick.
I used to do rabbies shots to take my dogs to a dog park, they never seemed too interested in dogs and would rather hike and smell where rabbits have been so thats what we do now

My parents have an outdoor cat that hunts animals for food and they take him to get yearly vaccines and the vet says it's the healthiest cat he's ever seen. Think about what we're feeding them compared to how they would eat in the wild. There's a lot of confounding variables making us and them sick.
Thanks my cats get mites, the vets here ( se asia) are kinda backwards, was really torturing my cats ( bengals) who get mites, I just got ivermectin for me ( at animal feed store) as there is so called outbreak in village... i can use for the cats too... was it one time treatment?
Just as follow up, my Dad gave the cattle version of Ivermectin to his dogs to keep heart worms, flees, ticks, etc. away. It’s injected into cattle, but he gave it orally to the dogs. I believe the dose was 1 cc per 10 lb of body weight ... but look up the dose for cats! He pulled out the medicine with a syringe, then fill the syringe with an equal part water. Take the needle off and shake the syringe to mix the ivermectin with the water. Then hold their mouth open and squirt it down the throat. As the other poster said, it apparently doesn’t taste good. So they got a treat afterward.

I found the vaccine book by dr. Sears to be very helpful with this. It lays out what all is known about every vaccine, how helpful it is, how dangerous, etc. We had our first child before I read it, but I think I will pick and choose vaccines or at least do a delayed vaccination schedule with our next one. I think it makes a big difference in your decision if the baby goes to daycare, nurses, etc.

Even with all these issues I still vaccinated my new puppy.
A few reasons, some can be seen as silly:
The leftists love dogs and think that we don't deserve to have them as pets
Dog immune systems are really weak to certain viruses and bacteria
Rabies is required in my area
I haven't heard of very many dogs dying from things they were vaccinated against after the 2-4 weeks of time for the vaccine to take effect.
Seeing a dog afflicted by parvo or lepto and dying is very scary and incredibly sad.
