So I haven’t had time to look into this, but it seems like just a couple months ago we were just at 40% vaccinated. And we got there after months of waiting lists and people fighting for vaccines. Then it slowed down. And now I’m supposed to believe that in the matter of two months another 30% of the US population ran out and got the vaccine all the sudden?? Are they lying about these numbers too so when the test comes to differentiate between flu and COVID they will have a story for why COVID magically disappeared?

Nope, don't believe it. If this statistic was true, they wouldn't be pushing so hard for the last 30%. I read in another thread that only 28% of African Americans are vaxxed. You can't have 70% of the pop vaccinated with only 28% of blacks taking the shot. Numbers don't add up.
Have you noticed that there's more talk of changing the goal posts to 80% for "herd immunity" with the new Delta frenzy?

The numbers are all bullshit. The higher the # the more peer pressure. After they make the number 90% even though it may really only be 50% that's when they justify either rounding the remainder up for camps or come around to force inject.

2 days ago on my local Michigan news, it was reported that 5 million of the 8 million over the age 16 residents have had at least one dose (58%). but only 54% are fully vaccinated. I live in a blue area and work in a factory with about 20% vaxxed.
